Animation Experimentation Resumes
Added 2017-12-15 03:52:03 +0000 UTCSo I have returned to educating myself on how animation works, and in particular re-using assets so you don't have to continually re-draw them. That way you can just draw the mouth twice and the eyes twice and the eyebrows four times and spend seven frames drawing hair.
Because we all know what's important here. THE FWOOSH.
More seriously, re-usable assets are how you do things like characters speaking dialogue, so I figure if I ever want a talking jaguar head welcoming you to my website or walking you through my "What Book Should I Read Next?" tutorial on the app some developer will code for me one day, it behooves me to draw things in a way that doesn't require me to treat every cel like a keyframe. >.>
But anyway. Smiley jaguar. 8)
(Oddly, my favorite part of this isn't the hair, it's that her eyebrows crimp a little when she blinks. Watch it: there are three eyebrow shapes there in succession.)

Nice job. It's very cool how you animated the face. I can't wait for the virtual assistant jaguar to walk me through your site and answer questions. That would be so cool. Next there will be an afternoon TV series. But which book series should it be based on?
