It's the Little Things (Literally)

One of my favorite things is marketing fluff. I love having branded packages, with address labels and stickers and inserts and what-have-you. And I love giving tiny freebies to my buyers and backers. Every time a place that makes stuff like this has a sale, I stock up on different bits of fluff, and these bits have been flocking into whatever corner of the house seemed best to them. Which inevitably meant that when I wanted to pack something, I had to go to six different parts of the house to assemble the package.

No more! Enter Tiny File Cabinet!

So adorbs! Now everything is in one place (except the envelopes, naturally, but one thing at a time here). I am vaguely impatient that I have nothing to ship, in fact! I'll have to make some new stuff for my Etsy store so I have an excuse to point it out and maybe sell somethings from it. Just so I can pack them excitingly. Because I am weird that way.

Of course, having a place to keep fluff makes me want to buy more fluff, and Vistaprint is having a huge sale... >.>

Stay good, Jaguar. Stay good.

It is a paid job! But you are paying me! *grin* *puts 'talk about marketing fluff' on list of posts.

I know I'm seeing this months late, but: 1) You're activating my container fetish. Noooooooooo! 2) I'd love a list of the sorts of marketing fluff you do. I saw you list it on your 2017's numbers post as important, and now I want to think about adding it to my own plan. I just have no idea what sort of things that involves...(Sorry, this is the 2nd post today where I'm asking you business advice...Do feel free to pat my head and remind me that's a paid job)

That is really cool! Congratulation on finding it and making it yours! How cool is that. I want one. . .

Wow! That makes my inner container fetish very happy! :) --filkferengi

I am re-reading Hearth. Thanks for saying how young minds develop in telepathic species, even if it is 'because I said so'. it was one of the points that had interested me. Thanks for the human vs pelted prejudice notes. Maybe you can exerpt this book and do (in the direction of King's On Writing?) something like "A elder writer reviews a young writer with kindness and love." The word 'refining' seems so Heyer to me. But a courtly gent might use it. I would love a picture of that woman with a basket, Karaka'An. Her fur patterns! You tried with words and just got me interested. (Dashenby) Do you have any pictures of palm touching? And if you do, you might consider adding them to the later editions. Love that pic of Sehvi! She is so happy and cute! RR needs her cartoon picture done as it is referenced often enough. Maybe you could do it in the style of your younger self? (and later added to a later edition?) One solution, one that is known to the characters but might be on their mental avoidance list, is that J will adopt V's kits, grand kits etc. The precedent isthe Queen's own.

One of the things I missed from drafting class in high school were the blueprint cabinets. Stuff like this really interests my organizational OCD gremlins....

The cabinet? Was $90. It's metal, though, and nice and solid. :)

All the swag! I love it! How much did that sturdy looking professional grade set you back?

I have that same urge. I've been known to buy and send people little "just because" gifts because I ran into labels, cards, and wrapping that was so perfectly suited to them or to the gift. Now I'll have to buy something from you on Etsy soon. Amazon, while fast and ubiquitous, adds their own marketing fluff, not Jaguar art!
