When last we left our fearless Jaguar (ha!), I confessed to the lack of a plan. And in fact, compared to years prior to this one, I still don't... because for me, a plan comes with schedules and tasks and to-do lists and I am still not feeling that motivated. I blame the allergy shots, which make me feel like I'm having a low-level allergy attack all the time. I spend a lot of time napping in the jaguar cat-bed. -_-
But I do have some goals!
First: since we last spoke of my planlessness I have finished the Alysha novella and you shall have it by early March! It's a very big novella, almost novel-sized, so it should entertain you all for a bit. First readers seem to have enjoyed it, if their commentary was any indication. (I regret you can't read their pithy quips and jokes... my first reader teams are very witty folks!) So that is now off my task list.
What remains on it has incremented by a little (in the case of Dreamhearth) and a great deal (in the case of Princes' Game 5), and infinitely (in the case of the MG/YA novel, which didn't exist until very recently). So my "publishing plan" for 2017 involves finishing these three projects in whatever order seems most urgent to me.
If you're new to my work (and a bunch of you are!) and are curious about what's upcoming, here's your list, then. This year, unless something goes pear-shaped, you can expect more of: Jahir & Vasiht'h; Lisinthir, Sediryl, and assorted Chatcaava; and a new cast of characters I'll hope you'll love as much as I am loving them already.
Lunch bags return tomorrow, with the holiday weekend concluding! And remember, we have both year-long $1-a-month grants and half-year $5-a-month grants available via our grant program. If you're hard up for cash and would like to join the Patreon, just apply to Grey! You can also apply to her to donate to the grant fund.
Jaguar out! *flop*
