Happy August! 🌻/ SNEAK PEEK – My 9th Finished Sketchbook! 📚

Hi Everyone! 🌻

Welcome in August! ☀️ I hope this message finds you all well and inspired.

Yesterday was a special day for me as I completed my 9th sketchbook! It's hard to believe it took so long, starting back in 2020, but that's because I tend to use several sketchbooks simultaneously. However, I've learned from this experience and am now trying to stick to one or two sketchbooks at a time to make the process more manageable and rewarding. 💜

In this latest sketchbook, I challenged myself to explore new artistic territories, and my last painting was a portrait study using gouache.🎨 While I'm not entirely comfortable with this medium just yet, I wanted to embrace it as a learning experience. To push myself further, I chose a difficult reference with minimal planes, making it quite challenging to work with gouache. However, despite the difficulties, I'm happy with this stylized study, and it feels great to see it complete this sketchbook.

In the coming days, I'll be working on a sketchbook tour video to share with you. 🍿 I can't wait to take you on a visual journey through the pages and show you the ups and downs I've exerienced throughout this sketchbook.
