SNEAK PEEK - Sketchbook Studies of the Sea Creatures 🐙 / Mixed media

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re having a good week so far 😊

The sea animals won in the last vote, so I spent the whole Tuesday drawing them and recording the whole process 🎥

I'm not sure how I feel about them... It seems to me that I have approached the challenge too ambitiously and using too many media (colored pencils, acrylic inks, watercolor and gouache). The colors seem a bit too saturated to me, but it may be because I decided to paint a dark background that emphasizes the contrast and brightones 🐠

The animals themselves were a big challenge because I didn't draw them before. They are full of unusual forms and textures, which was difficult but very fun to explore and learn! After all, this is only a sketchbook and a learning process, not a painting that will hang in the gallery so there’s nothing to worry about 🙃 I hope you enjoy the video and find it inspiring to draw with me 🍿
