Weekly Update: Aprons are a go!

I'll be compiling the list at the start of next week and the easier it is for me to figure out where's the aprons and patches are supposed to be going, the quicker they'll get to you. Speaking of the aprons, holy moly I was not expecting making them at home to go as smoothly as it has been! I set the heat transfer printer up and it was basically like setting any other printer up, just really big. The hardest part was rearranging my shelves to get everything to fit properly. Here's the big boy next to my normal printer for scale

It printed out the apron designs just fine and then on Monday I fired up the heat press and on top of still not killing me it prints GREAT! I ran off a few aprons to get a feel for what settings worked and it's already dialed in. The best part is that now that I have this thing at home I don't have to set aside time to go make the aprons. While this big guy prints out a little slower than the old machine I had, the old machine was this real fancy OKI printer that jammed if you looked at it the wrong way and you had to quite literally feed it paper ONE GODDAMNED SHEET AT A TIME If you wanted a successful print job done. It took forever and now that I think of it this normal printer is just as fast if not faster. Better yet I can just let it do it's thing and go do other stuff while I wait for it to go through 50 prints at a time.

And look at that! The Aprons are in the real world now! I've got 200-something more of these to make but thanks to being able to multitask I should be able to get through all the aprons I can possible get through by the end of this week. I can just run the printer when I'm doing whatever and at about 2 minutes per lining up, pressing, and folding each apron I can reasonably do about a hundred a day if I just keep at it. I think what I'm gonna do is just have the printer going today while i stream and then Thursday I'll just see how many I can get done with the heat press. I haven't had the chance to order the rest of the blank aprons I'll need yet so I can only do the first 200.

Hey what about video stuff?

Well speaking of those streams as some of you might have seen I bounced off Project Zomboid pretty hard. I did not enjoy my time with it so far and while I am a lover of complex? games like Kenhsi, Rimworld, and DF at times Zomboid feels like it's being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse. I've made the call to step away from it for now and work on other stuff like indieween and then when I get back to it I'm not gonna play it on stream so I can just focus on the game and not need to be entertaining too. I'm 21 hours into Zomboid now and I've decided that I'm gonna give Zomboid up to 100 to see if I can come around to it before starting the video.

In the meantime I've played and made outlines for the first three indieween games as well as filmed the first five cooking segments. I went ahead and got a new GoPro to replace my old one and it works great... aside from it being GoPro. I'm not gonna go too far on indieween for now because I also wanna work on a video for August: Abiotic Factor.

I think I'm almost at the halfway point for the story and a lot of that is me really building out by base and doing a whole lot of mats farming. I'm not sure what my angle for the video is gonna be yet but I'm having a great time with it.

That's all for now, it's actually really late as I write this and while I should have probably gone to bed, I felt I'd sleep better knowing that I got all my work done.
