Monthly Blog - January 2020

2020 was weird to type. We in the future.

Hello everyone - and hello again to everyone who's new! I do monthly update posts like this one where I just share some thoughts on the past month and upcoming projects. There's no real structure, it's just a way to update everyone. I have a series called "reliving" on here where I review my old unlisted videos which will be starting up again soon (I'll post 3 at once to make up for letting myself get behind on this). I also have some Q&A videos you might wanna check out :)

As you may know, January is the month where YouTubers get a bit experimental because advertisers don't spend as much, and though my month might not look too experimental on first glance, it was actually a bit unusual compared to what I usually do.

I made a review The Simpsons: Hit and Run, where I looked at a classic everyone loves which had it's own new writing challenges. The Witcher J2ME is unusual for me because it doesn't really have any redeeming qualities and Terminator: Resistance is a new game - something I've never done before too. I also spent a lot of time working on a review of Narcos: Rise of the Cartels which is also a newer game, should be out soon.

Upon reflection, I hope I learned from these more experimental videos but I certainly want to go back to doing more fascinating, meaningful topics. I like showing games that no one's heard of, and because of this I've put the Narcos review on pause for a more documentary style history video that should be my next release. It's a bit of a headspace refresher. No spoilers though :)

I also played through 007 Blood Stone to completion to follow up my Bond stuff. I quite enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to writing about it - I'm in the process of trying to get in touch with developers again (particularly about the ending!)

Hope y'all are doing well - I certainly feel 'back on track' to some extent after consistently releasing videos for the first time in a while. Late last year was busy!

Take it easy and thanks for supporting :)

Peter
