Announcement: Update on the December break
Added 2024-12-03 09:19:58 +0000 UTCOkay, TLDR: I am still taking a break this month but instead of using the "pause billing" function on patreon, I am gonna be manually giving out refunds for people who get charged for December. Provided, of course, that you subbed before December.
So why have I decided to change my mind? See, patreon allows creators to pause billing for a certain amount of time so that they can take a break without incurring charges to their subscribers. However, the way they implemented it is by making it so that new members cannot subscribe while the pause is in effect.
At first I thought I'd just take the loss of potential subscribers as a necessary tradeoff for getting to relax for a month. But after looking around patreon's settings and what not, I found that I could actually just refund you guys specifically for December. And so I figured I would do just that instead of pausing my billing. This way my existing patrons get to keep their money while I'm on my break without having to lock my page from new subscriptions.
And so I'll start providing refunds tomorrow! Just so everyone has the chance to read this announcement and be informed of the change.
