This means that the entire video is about 30 minutes rather than 3.5 hours. In this way I hope to make the information in these tutorials more accessible.

2020-04-17 18:39:44 +0000 UTCYou are right about the effect of the first layer of paint- it does wind up a bit transparent. The only reason I would refrain from calling it an underpainting is that I really am going for the color and value as I see it- just that the paint won't quite get there.
