This is the first of three parts and it goes through the tools and concepts I am using in the beginning of a block in. My paper here is Stonehenge.

There is one in my plans, but it will likely happen after this summer.

Hi Stephen, would it be possible to have more figure drawings including the full figure? So far I have only found this one in your Patreon. Thank you

There are several. In general I use 2h-h for lighter values and b-2b for darker areas.

What pencil leads are you using?

Hello Stephen. I enjoy drawing the clothed figure quite a bit, but not the nude very much. So, I know this is a hard question, but is it truly necessary to learn all the figure anatomy, if I have little interest in the nude figure ? (I know of course it would help, so that’s why it’s a tough question, I know). I do love learning head anatomy however, as portraits are a different story altogether. Thank you.

This paper is off white- no white chalk necessary.

Hello Stephen,
Simple question: is your paper this time a toned grey or just white? Wanted to know if you were using the white chalk or not. Thank you, Daniel
