animate animate
Added 2017-06-20 21:42:57 +0000 UTCAfter a slow few days of re-learning how to make pictures move, I'm back up to speed working on this animation I started last year with my friend Nick Meurlott (aka Dangerlot). The goal is to have my part finished by this weekend, so i'm in for an intense week!
Its an interesting collaboration, in that we planned it out loosely together, then Nick did more or less all of the lettering, and I did/am doing most of the character animation, and then there are a couple of chunks where Nick did the character animation based on my key frame drawings, resulting in a cool synthesis of our styles. We started this while we were both in Alaska last year, but I'm now working on it from here in Toronto while Nick is still in Alaska. The plan is now for me to draw the rest of the animation while Nick is going to be taking care of the coloring and putting the scans I send him together into the final animation.
Anyway, here is a sample of the section nick completed last year (this is the section I mentioned earlier that He drew based on the my key frames).
