March newsletter - new project announcement?

Hello dear patrons, how have you been doing? Today, I would like to talk about future plans for GoW and beyond.

The Game of Whores story is almost complete—there are just 3-4 more quests left to finish the main story, and that's it. Can you believe it? All these years, and here we are, approaching the finish line. I bet you're curious about what will happen after that.

Lately, I've been heavily thinking about what our next game might be, and there was also the announcement of Game of Wives quite some time ago, which should be addressed.

I realized that the initial idea for Game of Wives isn't enough to keep me entertained while working on it, nor will it keep you entertained enough while playing it. The solution? I started working on another design for a different game, let's call it 'GoW Side Project' which would be developed quickly and focused more on action rather than story. However, it didn't feel like enough either.

After spending some time thinking and discussing with other team members, I came to the conclusion that both of these ideas should just be combined in one way or another, so that they can complement each other. In a nutshell, it's 'Game of Wives + GoW Side Project = GoW MEGA PROJECT.' This is just a working title, though—I don't think the final name will include 'whores' or 'wives.'

You might be thinking, 'Dude, what even is that?'

I believe there's still a lot to be done with GoT universe, and I'm glad we've been delivering for the GoT fandom over all these years. It feels like we can deliver even more. However, the approach needs to change. This time, it will be a truly fandom-centered project. All the characters you've been asking for will be in the next game. Yes, even Arya. It's a big step for me as a creator, given how much I don't like her, but I'm doing it for you! I hope you will appreciate it.

When will it be released, you might be asking? Well, we'd like to finish GoW first. As I mentioned earlier, we still need to complete 3-4 more main quests to do so. Right now, we're dedicating our time to polishing and finishing it, and in Q3 of 2025, we'll begin working on the next game. So, I guess we'll release it sometime at the beginning of 2026?
It's not a proper announcement yet, rather sharing of a future plans, we would make a proper one with a name, screenshots and other things later this year once we have something to actually show you, but for now, we're back to finishing GoW!
