Hey everyone,
I usually don’t share much about my personal life, but something serious has happened, and I feel I need to tell you about it.

A few days ago, my father underwent surgery. When he was discharged, my mother and brother went to bring him home. While my brother was driving, another car ignored the right of way, and things escalated quickly.

The driver, a woman, became completely unhinged and started yelling insults at my mother and brother. When my brother opened the window to ask her to stop, the woman’s husband got out of their car, ran to my brother, and punched him in the face, knocking him out instantly.

With my brother unconscious, the car he was driving accelerated uncontrollably and crashed into other parked cars. Thankfully, no one was in those cars, but the accident caused serious damage.

• My brother suffered facial injuries.

• My mother was more seriously hurt, with nerve damage in her left arm, injuries to her ribcage, and slight damage to her cervical spine. She’s unable to work for several weeks.

• Our family car is totaled, and two nurses’ cars parked nearby were also destroyed.

The situation is critical. Insurance is slow, legal actions will take months to do somethings, and in France, we’ve already been told that the aggression might only result in a warning for the attacker, with no meaningful compensation.

The car was essential for my family’s ability to work and make ends meet. Like so many others, we are already struggling in this difficult economy, and this accident has made things much worse.

I can’t stand by and let my family suffer. I want to do everything I can to help them, which is why I’m reaching out to you. Please, only help if you’re able.
