Hey gang... missed you all on Thursday... I was in the chat for the Fake Ads super cut premiere... while I was in the chat I was also directing a commercial with my old buddy Eric Wareheim. I was in the garage,, he was at his house, the agency was in New York and everyone else was in Vancouver. I had my laptop open on a zoom which had us, our producer, and the first AD and DP on set. I also had an iPad which had this app called QTake which was a realtime live high res monitor of the camera up there. It was crazy how quickly it all just seemed normal. We were able to get exactly what we wanted but I didn’t sit in traffic or have to use a weird bathroom. Sure, I missed some of the fun parts of set life.... the craft services table filled with treats I'm not eating now anyways... sitting next to Eric and clowning around and often WRITING ... I think we wrote about half the tour last year sitting on a commercial shoot waiting for a new set up... But whether on set or in my garage it's definitely a job, and while there are parts I really don't like (the careful diplomacy that goes into dealing with clients and agencies... the overthinking...) when it gets down to shooting something it's always a fun and interesting to solve problems and put the puzzle together. Also, I haven't really worked outside this podcast since our Tour ended in March so it felt a good to be productive.

Also! I'm just about to launch the first teaser for Moonbase 8! Like... In 5 minutes, so you may have already seen it before reading this... doesn't it look great! I can't wait until you can see it all!
