2020-10-23 00:23:46 +0000 UTCHendrix WAS left handed. He played a right handed guitar, but it was strung accordingly for a left handed player. So the body of his guitar is upside down, but the strings are not. He played like any other lefty would play. Supposedly he preferred the position of the whammy bar this way or something, and supposedly at some point Fender had refused to give him a free lefty guitar, so it stuck that he continued to string a right handed guitar for left handed play.
