BC is banned on Amazon India
Added 2024-10-08 21:31:10 +0000 UTCJust as a heads up, this is the first Amazon sales channel that has banned Bitter Confessions. I've been submitting tickets to figure out what's going on and received this explanation today:
"After investigation, we have found your book contains sexually explicit images or title language. Books with sexually explicit content will not surface in general product searches."
This makes it sound like you can still find it, which you can't so when I pressed for clarification that I am banned and should direct readers to other sales channels I received this response:
"After consulting with our tech team I can confirm that since we found that it has Adult Content the book will not be available for purchase in India."
I'll be sharing this info on my socials as well. So far, the only major retailer Bitter Heat is banned on is Barnes&Noble, but I believe as censorship rises, it'll only be a matter of time that my other titles are shadow banned or banned altogether so... Thank you for supporting my work in other ways such as Patreon or buying direct and other sales channels! I believe it's going to get more rocky going forward.

Yes, thankfully I have alternatives, but it's disheartening to do all this work and then have a retailer decide its not acceptable and deny readers from getting it. But the alternatives are def better than they were even a year or two ago. I see a lot of authors beefing up their online stores because of the censorship. Sigh. The work is never ending

2024-10-08 23:06:37 +0000 UTCA reader from France told me Amazon also deleted the paperback option there so they got it from Germany... Maybe it's more widespread than I realized
