Finally digging into edits!

This holiday season has been kicking my ass. I should have started editing on December 1, but getting Bitter Heat into audio took weeks longer than I thought and it's been event after event. Ahhh!

The manuscript has to be in the editor's hands by February 1, which means I have a ton of work to do in a short amount of time. I'm going to retreat into the writing cave and probably delete my social media apps and everything, aside from Discord and Patreon so I can concentrate. I just wanted to let you all know in case it takes a while for me to respond. 

The first wave of cards will be sent out next week. They're more of a New Years card, so I'll be sending them out in waves throughout December and January. If you want one, send me a DM on Patreon or Discord with the name of the addressee and your mailing address. 

I'll probably pop into Discord or on the chat when I run across something interesting in the manuscript or even ask "did I ever mention this?" or whatever. Even though I just wrote Bitter Confessions, I've already forgotten most of it since I wrote 1/3 of book 4, listened to Bitter Heat in audio multiple times, and then re-read Bitter Secrets. Feels like I've been away from this manuscript for 6 months. That's actually ideal so I won't be super attached and can see the flaws in it and what I can improve. 

I hope you're all doing well during the holidays and not stressing like me. 😩 There's always a mixture of dread and excitement when you dive into rewrites because you did the first step which is writing the book, but that's just the beginning. Now, you have to tear it apart, put it back together, polish (maybe twice if time allows?), write the blurb, market pre-order, newsletters, blogs, marketing campaigns, bonus scene from next book... I mean, the closer to release you get, the less you sleep because you have an endless list of tasks. It's an insane marathon!
