When you said Buffy is going through a Sasuke phase, that made me kaugh so much XD I like the way they showed how affected Buffy was after the events of the s1 finale. As you pointed out, she did die, even if for just a few seconds, but it was still very traumatic for her. It really is still affecting her. It also made sense that she grew even more uneasy when she learnt that the vampires were trying to bring the Master back. I understand that she felt fetrayed too that Giles didn't mention it was even a possibility. Love Cordelia's lines this episode XD I think I really started to like her from her focused episode in s1 (with the invisible girl). Also, Buffy was so brutal with her in her comebacks... yikes The Xander and Willow scene at the beginning was cute, never really shipped them but I was sad for Willow during the scene at the Bronze when Buffy is dancing with Xander. Once again, Sarah's acting when she smashed the bones, got me teary eyed the first time... Love the hints of Giles and Jenny Calendar, the monologue by the principal about teenagers flirting and in the background we see Giles and Ms Calendar flirting too, never gets old. It's not the strongest opener of a season but I think it was needed to show Buffy is human, she had trauma and she needed to heal after dying.
