There are absolutely "adventures" or scenarios that only take a handful of sessions, and don't require some kind of years long commitment. And just fyi, D&D is the most well known, and is obviously fantasy, but there's a TON of others: there's some that are set in movie universes (Alien, Bladerunner, etc), there are some with modern action or spy themes, and there are a bunch that are horror themed - like modern or 1930s Call of Cthulhu, etc.

Like your group is on an adventure basically and now they’ve got a new member. Unless you have an opportunity to bring them back to life. And some people don’t have to talk in a strange voice you can imply that you’ve got an accent but it’s not like seriously required you talk that way. I’m in my first campaign and it’s really fun and everyone is really friendly and really take the time to help you learn and you have so much fun!

2024-10-31 16:49:33 +0000 UTCRemski was right about feeling vulnerable. Bless him. I'm glad he has started Therapy. It does help uncover issues that need healing. I've received Therapy Sessions (the first time was back in the 1980s, and recently just a few weeks ago). I found them helpful and amazing. I have also gone through 'Inner Healing & Deliverance Ministry' Sessions. (It's like Therapy within the Christian Faith, but its slightly different). Personally for me, I preferred 'Inner Healing' or 'Deep Healing' because instead of that vulnerability Remski shared (which I also felt during my Therapy sessions), I found that with 'Inner Healing and Deliverance' - part of the Process helps me give what has been unearthed to Christ and because of my Faith and Gifts of Visions, Seeing into the spiritual realm etc It is such a relief to be able to watch Christ, lift that burden off me, and replace the emptiness, vulnerability etc with His Healing and Presence. So I feel incredibly free, protected and loved. Does it mean you have to be a 'seer' to do Inner Healing Sessions? - No many people who lack that Gift, have received 'Inner Healing' and still come away feeling healed and different. The reason I prefer it is because the memory of a situation / the soul - is healed. So when I look back, I see Christ there with me and I feel no pain or hurt, because Christ takes them and literally heals the memory. Whereas with Therapy, I was given Tools to help me handle / cope with the memory etc - which was also fantastic but the difference was with 'Inner Healing' is the pain had disappeared and I had received complete healing and a tangible Presence of God and His love for me, so did not need the Tools to 'manage' the memory - so to speak.
