Another remote two-parter this week—but is there ever anything else these days, really?
For the first segment, I chat with the folks at Numskull, a collectibles firm in the U.K. that has been producing some impressive, high-quality quarter-scale playable arcade cabinets of some of my favorite classic coin-ops (including this very frivolous Polybius "repro" cab/USB charge bank). What's the process involved in putting together something like that? From licensing to prototyping to production, they break it down for it while I try not to be too obvious with my eagerness for a mini triple-screen Darius or Ninja Warriors cab.
On the more "business as usual" side of things, the second segment features Retronauts East's Chris Sims expressing his love for Fire Pro Wrestling while I try desperately to contribute to a discussion about wrestling games. I got the history and the goofy dev anecdotes, Chris has got the gameplay details, and together we paint a complete picture.
