We tried the patience of a live audience this past weekend with a lecture on the history of the incredibly influential yet extremely obscure (in the U.S.) role-playing series Dragon Slayer, created by Ys developer Nihon Falcom. In fact, Dragon Slayer is more relevant than ever, with two spinoff titles having arrived in the U.S. within the past year (Legend of Heroes and Tokyo Xanadu). But you don't need to worry about being patient, since we've put together the audio of our live panel as a Micro episode in record time. As usual for live events, the audio quality isn't quite at studio standards, but it's a lot better than the Midwest Gaming Classic recording from a few months ago. Big thanks to Kurt and Rob from HG101 for helping out with this one! Bob and I couldn't have done it on our own, that's for sure.
Description: Fresh from Long Island Retro Gaming Expo, Jeremy and Bob yield the floor to Kurt Kalata and Rob Russo from Hardcore Gaming 101 to explain the history of Falcom's Dragon Slayer series — just in time for the PS4 debut of the latest spinoff, Tokyo Xanadu.
