And the music is stunningly good, as one might expect from this particular franchise: Dig Dug and Mr. Driller. Yes, they're the same thing. Sort of.
Description: Ray Barnholt and Henry Gilbert join Bob and Jeremy to discuss gaming's original expanded universe: Namco's Dig Dug, which turns out to be a part of the same lineage (literally) as Mr. Driller and Baraduke.

I'll be keeping an eye out for the EU DS Mr. Driller - sadly the DSi game for 3DS is not available in EU (anymore). Thanks for an unexpectedly wonderful episode, once again!

2017-07-18 11:57:25 +0000 UTCI really need to pay more attention to the mail calls; Dig Dug was a game I enjoyed in the arcade, but got obsessed with on C-64. Seeing a picture of super hardcore Taizo with his spike launcher and badass visor was what convinced me I needed to play Namco X Capcom, which ended up disappointing me.
