Hope you guys had a happy thanksgiving. I just caught up with both shows during the TG break. When I tell you guys that I almost died this semester from workload, I am not even joking. I couldn't even properly watch with you guys the past few weeks. Anyways the episode was so enjoyable to watch and I love my boy lee rang. I hated watching yu ri stab him, especially since getting abondoned and backstabbed is like his biggest fear. I absolutey think that lee yeon would have used the flowers to save Ji Ah if it was her that needed them and not his brother so that part of the episode sucked. I can't wait to see if lee rang survives (I mean if he shows up in the other show I am guessing he survives but I'm not sure what the plot of the sequel is so I that's not even enough comfort atm). Hope you enjoy the rest of the show and whatever new show you start incase I diseapear again!

Lee Yeon seems to pick his values depending on whether its Jiah or anyone else in the world which is kinda annoying lol. Remember I told you guys that I stopped this show in Ep 5 since back then I was finding the female lead a bit annoying cuz she used to create situations by being stubborn. And the they had to fix it lol. That has kinda reduced now but I still feel that I would not have been able to finish this show off if it wasn't watching with you guys haha. Idk why but for some reason I feel i haven't gotten invested into Lee Yeon and Jiah's romance. And a lot of things happening in this drama is for and because of Jiah. There is no other real motivation per say. Though I am kind interested in the rest of the world building, etc. Idk its just so hard for me to exact pinpoint and say why I am not so invested in this drama. haha. Though I have seen the trailer of Season 2 and that really drew me in. I really wanna watch S2 but I cant since I am not able to finish S1 haha. And I think Nine Tailed 1938 is more based on the brothers idk. Anyhoo see you in next ep haha. Also just curious will you just be watching this drama till Season 1? Or will you watch Season 2 too? Also I think you mentioned something about a Episode 17 of Season 1... but I actually have no idea about it so idk what to say haha.

So took a break ๐๐๐ I am glad you raised the issue how Lee Yeon treats the situation with others differently to how he treats the situation with Jiah. After watching the show I was not a fan of the pairing of Lee Yeon and Jiah. Like the whole motivation of, i will leave the mountain for her to reincarnate and sacrifice all the lives just to save her doesn't make sense at all. The only reason I continued with Nine Taled is because I am super invested in Lee Rang, Yu Ri(russian fox), Sae Rom(the kid) and Shin Joo(the doctor). I didn't even care what will happen to Lee Yeon, Jiah and Imugi after a point. Its just so frustrating like its episode 12 and he already knows what he needs to do to stop the imugi, you can imagine what will happen in the next four episodes. The scene where Yu Ri attacks Lee Rang was so heartbreaking. I was devastated when that happened, and then Lee Yeon dont even gives the magic fruit which can save him. I agree with you guys, if that was Ji Ah he wouldn't even blink before using the fruit. Imugi should have used her instead. Isn't the last time he killed a human and went to Hell was because of her as well. Maybe thats why i like Nine Tailed 1938 more ๐๐๐ I know I am rambling a lot, so i will stop here. Edit: I went back and checked and it was her uncle. After her parents disappeared she was admitted to a pediatric psychiatric hospital for 3 months and when she was discharged she left with her uncle. She still lived in her old house so I assume that the uncle (with family, if he had any) lived with her there, but the drama never specified if that was the case. There was also no mention of living in an orphanage or with foster parents. I only assume cause it would be weird if the uncle just dropped her off at the house and left her to fend for herself. Someone took care of her, made sure she went to school, had food and wasnโt alone. Then I guess she started to live alone when she became an adult or when she was at the age when she could take care of herself. โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ What Lee Rang went through does not excuse his behaviour or actions and I would never say that it does, but seeing how maybe only 2% of his 600 year long life involved some type of happiness and 98% was extremely horrible and tragic, itโs pretty understandable that my man is bitter and hates the world. Itโs hard to form a time line since they donโt age like normal humans so you canโt really go by the way they look and they donโt give us a year either when they show the flash backs. The type of clothes that they were wearing didnโt really change so Iโm making the assumption that not much time had passed from when Lee Yeon left to when he showed up again (maybe 20-25 years). So say he was around 10-12 years old when they first met and then spent 5-10 years together. Adding the 25 years to that would result in 560 something years spent alone or with the CEO/traitor dude (590 if you count all the years without Lee Yeon). That is a lot of time being manipulated and fed lies. Btw these time spans might be complete BS๐ I have no idea if they are reasonable and Lee Yeon and Lee Rang might have spent much more time together. I donโt know the year spans of life stages when it comes to nine-tailed foxes๐ This is only to give some for of perspective that at least 90% of his life has been filled with darkness. That's hard to change overnight.... I think we are able to see his redeeming qualities only now cause he is getting the truth and closure that he needed. He found out that Lee Yeon never intended to kill him and has been shown that Lee Yeon does care about him. Cracks are forming in the lies that he has been fed and the mind-ghosts that were clouding his brain are disappearing. Sure he probably could have done the work himself with out having Lee Yeon back in his life, but from how I interpret his life style and world view before, he didnโt see a reason to do it. Lee Yeon is making the feelings he had when he was a child come back and is making him care again. Itโs understandable that itโs gonna take awhile cause just one gesture or one word is not enough to redo or erase hundred of years worth of painโฆ baby steps. I also think that some people need some type of support by their side to steer them in the right direction again. Lee Rang is one of those people. I would say that Lee Rang is the best written character in the whole drama cause there are so many different layers and so much to analyze/discuss! โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ I assume the way they got trapped is the same way the step-dad of the little boy got turned into a Chinese lantern flower (if you remember how that happened, they placed a shrivelled up flower in his mouth). This traps their souls, but their bodies also disappears, and that is what has been prolonging the CEOโs life spanโฆ other peoples souls/life. I have no idea how they located the specific flowers that the parents were in or how they got them out. I donโt think the writers knew either so they just skipped explaining that part๐ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ I was gonna say that one positive thing that came out of this is that since her parents didnโt age she can spend 20 years more with them. But then I realised that she lost 20 years so itโs evens out๐ The 20 years just got pushed back a little. โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ (The flashback scene in the car when Yu-ri came back from killing somebody/something) Kevin: She just killed somebody๐ณ David: Awww thatโs so cute!๐ฅฐ Damnโฆ two completely different reactions๐ I know that David was referring to Lee Rang and Yu-riโs relationship but considering the context of the scene it was just too funny๐ Didnโt even reflect over what she just did. โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ The CEO is definitely living up to his branding as a traitor! As Long as he can save himself he doesnโt care who he betrays or teams up with. โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ Lee Yeon took the advice the friends were giving him way too literally๐ And I donโt think they want to tell the parents in an effort to keep them away from the mythical word. I agree that telling them would be much safer cause that way they could be prepared. But I also understand the decision of not telling them. Donโt know how they are being so chill after being stuck in a plant and photosynthesising for 21 years tho (had to steal it๐)โฆ I would have so many questions! Like they are not even wondering what they fuck just happened!! โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ Damn, I got called out๐ Well, I think heโs hot and I stand for that opinion, fight me! โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ Youโll find out what Imugi told Shin-ju and the snail bride later๐ I thinkโฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ The scene with Yu-ri attacking Lee Rang is so heart breaking to watchโฆ He didnโt know that she was under a spell at that moment so in his eyes it was like she truly wanted to kill him. He approached her with a smile and then BAM!! Everything he taught her came to bite him in the assโฆ Another sad thing is he didnโt even try to fight back๐ข I want to believe itโs cause he doesnโt want to hurt herโฆ Him asking โwhy would you?โ (kind of like โwhy are you doing this to me?โ) almost made me cryโฆ This is the second time someone he cares about attacked him. And when Yu-ri realised what she had doneโฆ Dudeโฆ Iโm not for using animals in fashion but Imugi would look really good as a pair of boots right about nowโฆ (Heโs still hot tho, he would be a sexy pair of boots). โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ I agree that Lee Yeon is a bit of a hypocrite and that he chooses when and where certain things/values should be applied. I donโt think it bothers me that much cause that is how his character is written and he has always been that way, especially when it comes to Ji-ah/Ah-eum. But I can see how itโs annoying to some people. It does annoy me at times, like in this episode were he refused to use the Chinese lantern to save Lee Rang... I guess I can see his reasoning to some degree but come one, one little lantern wouldn't hurt. And like you said, if it had been Ji-ah in that position he wouldn't have hesitated. He probably would have used up the whole damn tree if that's what it took.. Okay thinking more on it he is pretty annoying when it comes to his values and how he picks and chooses when it's most fitting๐ It's even more understandable now that Lee Rang felt tossed aside cause here we see it on full display! He didn't want to use the plant to save Lee Rang cause that would mean that he had to leave Ji-ah's side and possibly put her in danger. It's not like you have other people that could help๐ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ Imugi has an eye for fashion cause DAYUM that outfit is fire! The lace part around the waist!! I wouldnโt look half as good as Ji-ah if I wore it but god I want it๐ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โGet the lotion!!โ Kevin, not even 10 pounds of lotion could save that skin๐ She flakyโฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ DUNDUNDUUUUUUN!!! oh what to do nowโฆ The fact that the part of Imugi they have to target is Ji-ah makes everything 1000% harder, especially for Lee Yeon. I think thatโs why the grandma said that he will never be able to do it, cause it involves hurting Ji-ah.
