I did not 😠but that meant we couldn’t record today so most of the videos for this week will be pushed one day. Sorry for the delay, but the content will still be coming no problem 🙌ðŸ»ðŸ˜Œ

It's actually quite an interesting system. Basically, anyone can be called to serve jury duty but they have to be picked. There's a jury duty questionnaire survey you fill out and they put you on a register, if you qualify, depending on a bunch of factors like age, health problems, etc. Then when a trial needs a jury you get summoned. Then the judge and attorneys of the case ask questions to see if you might be biased about the case. If you lean too strongly towards one side of the trial or know someone involved, then the judge excuses you. The attorneys can also dismiss a number of potential jurors for no apparent reason but they have their own thought process on who they think would not be helpful for their case. So it's not as random as people say but it leads to situations like this where you get called and sit through all that and you still don't get picked.
