Timelapse Video: Rise Kujikawa maid outfit (Persona 4)
Added 2023-01-24 23:26:15 +0000 UTCHere's Rise Kujikawa in her full maid outfit! This video goes through my process from initial rough sketch to finished colors. I use Clip Studio Paint for both drawing and coloring. Final touches, airbrushing, and effects are done in Photoshop CS3 (not in video). Anyways, enjoy! I've been trying to get into the habit of recording my process lately, so there'll be more videos to come.

A lot of artists will do one or more clean passes on a new layer, but I feel my lines tend to lose their energy if I do this, so I prefer to sculpt out the forms by revising shapes as I draw them. It's not the most efficient approach, but it works for me, and perhaps for you as well. :)

Not just because of how great this (and your other portraits) turned out, but because I always feel like I am the only one drawing the same lines over and over again until it looks ok. And this video showed me you also revise constantly. Maybe there is hope for me yet!
