Update - 2/6/2022
Added 2022-02-06 22:40:30 +0000 UTCWhat's up loyal and wonderful patrons? Got some updates for ya.
First off, the big one: I'm changing how I do commission selection for this next wave. I'm doing away with the "first come, first serve" method, and going for a vetting process.
Essentially, I'll open commissions and you can send in your email with your idea. I'll keep my submissions open for about 4-5 hours, after which I'll go through the emails I received and hand-select ideas from them. I will retain the submission order for filling the slots, but they'll be entirely picked by me manually.
I'll still do correspondence if you need it, but I'm going to put a bit more thought into picking ideas. This is mostly to A) cut down on the frantic rush to throw emails at me when I open, and B) make sure the ideas I have lined up are things I'm currently in the mood to tackle.
If I don't end up picking your idea, you'll simply get a message back from me saying that your idea was not selected and the slots have been filled.
I'll be reopening for commissions on Tuesday (Feb 8th) around 4pm EST. That gives you until about 9pm EST to send me an email with your commission idea. Considering I'll probably get a handful of emails, don't be surprised if you don't hear back from me until Wednesday.
The rest of these updates are a bit less intense. For monthly polls I'm going to attempt to hold them to a schedule of running the poll on the first weekend of the month, then getting the pics done within the next two weeks. Then they'll be posted to Early Access by the end of the month (possibly going public within the month as well).
Also for polls, the shot limit for ideas is being eased to between 1-4 shots. This is really depending on the idea that gets nominated, so if it might be better with more or less shots, I have some wiggle room.
And that's about it! So yeah, comms open Tuesday, so get your ideas all sorted out and ready, but please don't all rush me at once with emails. You have a fairly generous window to submit them.
