Could you guys react to some Kai content sometimes? It's been a while since we've seen him, compared to the other members.

Are you guys checking out the full version of Chanyeol's nothin' and Sehun's on me? I think the full version of both songs sound better. Also, it might be a good time to checkout some of the other songs from Lay since the later half of his comeback is approaching. <3

You guys should listen to the full version of Chanyeol's nothing, I think you missed it on this album or maybe I missed it somewhere (apologies if I did) He's got one of his wicked guitar sounds at the end and its such a good song. Hope you check it out

Rodeo station is about their trainee days, rodeo is the area around SM Entertainment where they spent most of their times when skipping practice or when they finish practice so u see them talk about the bus they took and how they were always sleeping at school because they would practice until late at night and not get enough sleep, and they also talk about how their life changed from then to now so from uniforms to tuxedos and being adults and drinking and living the life of the main characters from the posters they had in their room and also how rodeo changed and now there is a new museum in front the bus station they always waited for the bus at

Yeah the lyrics really were something else.....rodeo station is supposed to be about their trainee days and how they would sometimes skip practices, the subway/bus station they used most during that time was Rodeo Station hence the name. Jet Lag was written to tell how they never stay in one place due to their career, Gaeko said he was always shocked because whenever he would text or call them asking where they are they would say "oh I'm in Paris/London/New York/Taiwan" and he felt like they rarely got a break and must be jet-lagged all the time and what that would mean should they be in a relationship. Chanyeol said that if Rodeo Station is about their trainee days, Fly Away is about their childhood and that they all felt most attached to that song because of it. Sehun's verse at the beginning is telling Chanyeol's story and Chanyeol's verse is telling Sehun's story. Gaeko, Chanyeol, and Sehun recorded an interview type video where they talked about the inspirations for the songs and how it was writing them. (also they used Chanyeol's studio to record and produce the album as opposed to using SM's resources and facilities)

Daydreamin' just hits different.

Fly High honestly sounds like a Dynamic Duo song, it sounds like Nosedive (woot woot with Chen) to me except Gaeko's lines sound like Chen's in that song. The lyrics are a bit heartbreakingly relatable though (well Nosedive and You were also sad). It's like we're living in a world that will only acknowledge you if you get to the top. I've always disliked that. Everyone knows Einstein or Picasso, but fewer remember things and people who achieved something together. So people develop that mindset that it's only something to be proud of when it's a one in a million achievement. For me, every effort should be recognized.

Those translations were kinda something else. I've noticed they tend to omit a lot of adjectives. I think most unofficial lyric translators machine translate, and that's how they get it out so fast. Jetlag was obv mtl because the simple "how's the weather in seoul?" was translated to "how's seoul slim?" I think Jamong is a good translator but the videos aren't released as fast. Fansubbers who really understand Korean and English tend to focus on translating interviews and shows. You know they can understand the language because there are no written captions/transcription at all to follow. I wish companies would just go the extra mile to release lyric vids with proper translations lol. Because I have to be honest those translations distracted me a bit...
