But I do have one question: once all the complications are figured out and we get back to regular campaign uploads, will we return to a dual upload schedule at any point? Just wondering because there was 2 episodes + 2 rolled per week, but for the last few months it has been 1 episode every 2 weeks. And if I weren’t a patron I wouldn’t have any JRWI content at all for the last few months. 2024-06-01 15:05:45 +0000 UTCI had a break for my own campaign for a couple months. I knew what to do with the story, but I didn’t know how to get there. I didn’t know what to do for half of the players arc and how to tie it in with the story. Tensions were high in the group so I decided that now would be a great time for us to pause and take a little break. That way some players could have a breather and focus on them selves while also giving myself time to figure out what the fuck I was gonna do. This ended up being the greatest idea for me, half way through our couple month break I decided not to be lazy and took time to think. During which I figured out what to do and even gave a purpose to one of my players, whom I struggled to find and arc for and nearly gave up. summing her up to “She’s a mushroom who’s just there with you guys.” Something I didn’t want to do, BUT NOW??? I’ve got everyone figured out! I even know whose arc would be next in the time line. I reworked some thing in the main story that fits better and now we’re starting back up this Sunday! There’s no telling what my players will do to throw us off track. But at least I know what was gonna happen and see how their new decisions are gonna affect the plan and the world. All of this to say, take your time! I love Riptide, but if you can make it better? And gain more confidence in your work as a dm and a story teller? Then do it! I think having a writing coach is a great idea too! Having that guidance and outside prospective can really help bring new ideas and solutions to your game. I truly love and care for all the character and players, this group is one of my favorite dnd groups besides D20. I can’t wait what goodies you’ll gift us and stories you’ll tell!!!!
