2022-04-21 17:24:12 +0000 UTCthanks for checking this out! :D mana means inheritance in tagalog, manananggal came from the word tanggal which means take/remove, and manananggal means taker, the mythical creature can split its upper from the lower body and fly to take fetus from a sleeping pregnant woman, that's where it derived from. its such a genius of pablo to write a song like this. the song is somehow for the doubters who cant see their 'inherited gifts' and didn't believe in them, only noticing them when they're at the top, hence the first verse in the song. also saying that even if they fly high, their feet will stay on the ground. there's a mistranslation in the vid, the song was saying 'don't sleep on me, otherwise-', because you can't sleep on a manananggal, and so on sb19, they'll just take you by storm XD
