Yes, at least partially, since the latter part of the episode contains some quite graphic footage. And there's never any joking around in episodes about nazism, of course, so in that sense it's a very serious episode. From what I remember it's basically "just" the facts (which are horrible enough in themselves) and a plea to never forget.
The good thing about watching the episode after the music video would be that one gets to catch one's breath and focus on the facts. The discussion is quite an important one to have as well. If it becomes too rough, you could just leave it all out. No one is entitled to see all of your reactions, just because you're a reactor.

Is the Sabaton History for The Final Solution rough?

Actually, there are songs where Sabaton takes sides; songs in which they condemn inhumane and disgusting ideologies, like The Final Solution and In the Name of God. I've seen a few people suggest them in the comment section, but a fair warning is probably in place:
In the Name of God is full of rage and disgust and is straight up calling out terrorists. I don't think there's an official video, but the YouTuber Piscator has made a lyrics video.
There is, however, a hard hitting official lyrics video for The Final Solution — a heavy, disturbing song full of grief and despair. As someone said: "you're not meant to enjoy it, you're meant to endure it". Not only is it considered the deepest and darkest; people agree upon it being the most important song of them all.
⠀⠀You may find it difficult to find any live recordings of The Final Solution, since Sabaton doesn't play it live anymore for that exact reason. It's weird and unpleasant to have an audience cheering you on when you're trying to perform the most disturbing song you've ever written.
