What a wonderful show, right? I really agree with what you’re saying about tragic endings. I think they’re so poignant because this ending was true to who these characters were, true to the world in which they lived, and true to the story the show has been telling. I also hate when shows create a forced happy ending where everyone just decides to get along when that’s untrue to everything we’ve seen before. This show created real stakes and followed through on it. It’s so bold and such strong writing. I love it. 10/10

imma need people to stop dying!.... i do blame the previous king, like your 5th son killed 1-4, after 2 was killed shuhe should've been restricted from not attending state affair meetings/ also should've been in full awareness, even if the 5th and 6th prince where on good terms still if anything happened to the 5th the 6th is next in line.... i guess i appreciate the reality that shuhe neglected responsibility of going to meetings and being aware of social politics and economic stability realistically lead to his ignorance of the reality of his kingdom ergo he had no plan or way to figure out a plan for his kingdoms future, other fantasies would do the opposite make the "arts kid/ youngest" politically and social economically most educated, but he shouldn't be because he wasn't involved enough. example being shuhe's people where planning to rebel and he would've died by his own people instead. (p.s. i thought it was strange that all these actors have been moving in together after their dramas; but based on recent events in China its most likely for safety) again wth is going on in China?

It was the crown prince who killed ShuHe's dad and it was also him who wanted to kill ShuHe. He had already hurt his hand and for sure he would have killed him. In the past he must have been a nice big brother, but we didn't see much about it.
