Sestra Shamonda, that comment before y'all started the episode made me choke on my water π. And Brother-Sestra Ralph, we will get through these trying times together for our dear Helena. At least Kira's alright this time. That's something, right? π... Name Check: Kira's Daddy - Cal. Proleathan Runaway Girl - Gracie Johannsen. Combover Prolethean Clone - Mark Rollins. Sketchy Topside Boss Lady - Marion Bowles. Mini Clone - Charlotte Bowles. The Upper Bosses - Topside. "Brad" (He really does look like a "Brad" π) - Major Paul Dierden. D.Y.A.D.'s "New Doctor" - Dr. Nealson. So, since Alison wasn't really in this episode, I guess I can start off her deleted scene. Alison & Donnie's scene sadly got cut from the episode due to time. Here's a video of the co-creators, Graeme Manson & John Fawcett, showing our favorite married couple's deleted scene for the episode. https://youtu.be/AkCz_w3hL3k?si=akYdxMiwy-tcM6LL I guess we can start off with a fun fact very early here. Fun Fact: The opening scene where Sarah was being questioned about her medical history was all improvised. Tatiana didn't know what questions she was going to get asked and had to improvise the answers on the spot while in character, who's in this very chaotic, very invasive, and very vulnerable situation, out of desperation. So basically, she ended up making Sarah's medical history right on the spot on through improv. I love how often the show creators allowed Tatiana to do improv with her characters to the point that they'd started allowing whole scenes of her just doing improv in this series (the scene last episode where Donnie & Alison are arguing while they're trying to wrap Leekie's body was improvised lol). She and it make sense to use your talented actress the flex the skill she's trained in and she nails it everytime that it never feels like improv. That opening scene was so jarring to watch. You see Sarah in this dark room being stripped, swapped, and touched all over. It's so invasive and feels almost claustrophobic. Then we cut to a flashback of earlier that day and what led to Sarah being in the room. Sarah & Siobhan are arguing about Kira for the millionth time. Only this time, Kira's now in the hands of the enemy and she was taken right from under their noses. Siobhan's blaming Sarah for allowing Kira the choice of doing the bone marrow. Sarah's blaming Siobhan for allowing Rachel to slip right by her from the 5 minutes Sarah left Kira's side. Meanwhile, half drugged Felix is blaming himself for Kira getting taken because he realized too late that Rachel was "Sarah". Sweet Baby Felix really had it rough this season π©. Then Sarah hears something in Siobhan's voice. Siobhan tried to explaining how & why how Rachel outsmarted almost like she's about to cry, "I thought it was you! She looked like you!" And it was like Sarah saw how distraught Siobhan was that she pulled Mrs. S in for an embrace and comfort for them both. Like Sarah says, "I don't know whose side you're on, but I know you always put Kira first". Mrs. S raised Kira. That's her granddaughter. Sarah knew that her anger and frustration was really about the situation, not Mrs. S, and deep down, she knew it wasn't Mrs. S fault. Who would have guessed that Rachel would have outsmarted all of them as easily the way that she did (she didn't even break a sweat)? Sarah's really tired. She ended last season tired, and it's been non-stop running and looking over her shoulder ever since. In the season 1 finale, after being forced to "kill" Helena, Sarah decided to turn herself over to D.Y.A.D. and sign a contract. They offered Sarah to be able to live a nice, safe, and peaceful life with Kira (and "answers" about everything) if Sarah decided to willingly cooperate with D.Y.A.D. regarding simple medical testing. Tired of fighting to survive, and now after having to kill her own twin sister, right after her birth mom died in front of her, she was done running. That was until Cosima called her and warned her about the patent and them being oroperty, that all of their contracts was bs, and most importantly, they could claim Kira. All of that nice peaceful life with Kira in her contract was just to make them feel like they some form of control of the situations. These people can do whatever they want, contract or no contract. So instead of making the deal, Sarah ran. (Up Yous, ProClone π). Then the season ended with Sarah running home only to find her mum & daughter are missing. Then we started season 2 as we hit the ground running, trying to figure out what happened to her daughter and her mum, and she doesn't know WHO to trust. All season, Sarah's been doing what she can to make sure Kira's safe away from D.Y.A.D. and out of Rachel's hands. The ONE thing that kept her fighting all season was Kira. In the end, she did all of that running and fighting. Rachel won. She got Kira right from underher nose and there was nothing she could do. Sarah lost. While Mrs. S was trying to tend to Felix, Sarah runs out of the house. In this episode, she finally gave up. She lost her reason to keep running. She left thr house and finally gave herself over to D.Y.A.D. in an unconditional surrender. Have I mentioned Sarah's tired? π Rachel is sending Delphine away. FAR away. She gave Delphine a promotion simply to manipulate her set her up to execute her plan. Rachel has Kira now. Did Delphine simply outlive her usefulness to Rachel or did was this another f-u from Rachel because she can? Rachel said either you get on that plane to Frankfurt, or you will be "put on a plane" Leekie style π΅. She could have at least let the girl she Cosima one last time. (I'll admit, the "Eskimo Pie" email name is cute since it was the snack Cosima went out to get Delphine after they hooked up the first time, if I ignore the fact that that was when Delphine stole the Clone Club info for Leekie lol). My precious Kira. She handled her whole situation pretty well. She was VERY calm child. And I guess getting raised by people with sketchy and criminal antics pays off well in this family lol. Kira swiping the phone reminded me of Sarah swiping the phone when her & Felix was in the club in the beginning of the season 2 premiere #LikeMotherLikeDaughter. We FINALLY got to see got Cosima & Kira meet. These two characters, although they've never been shown meeting (we still don't know how Kira even knows who Cosima is)have been constantly tried to protect & save one another. Cosima tried to help keep Kira out of D.Y.A.D. and was always protective of her. Like she told Delphine in season 1, "You want to use me? That's fine, but leave that little girl out of this." Cosima is normally a laidback person, and seemingly a very forgiving, too trusting of a person, but the only time we've ssen her really get upset is when Kira was involved somehow. She helped and dreaded the fact that she would be the reason Kira WOULD get involved. She really didn't want have to use Kira for a treatment (she already felt like her illness was already another burden that Sarah didn't need), but Kira was the only "match" they had for her, and a cure would have been months away WITH Ethan's help. And on Kira's side of things, she immediately jumped in to help Cosima, first with the tooth, then again with her bone marrow. It's really nice to see that Kira has really bonded and connected with her "aunts" over the course of 2 seasons. I love that Cosima figured out a way to use their bonding time with Cosima & Scott executing (and it all played. She was smart knowingCosima would TOTALLY be "the cool auntie" in the bunch lol. Kinda like how Felix is "the cool uncle". She probably doesn't want to kids of her own, but the type to gladly hang out with her nieces & nephews, teach them cool science experiments, dance with them, play games, joke around, show up to all their events, and tell them the real life stuff their parents won't tell them. The one the kids open up to and keep the kid's secrets (And probably let you smoke your first doobie with her for your 16th birthday lol). I just want to take a moment to sat "Poor Art". Can you imagine coming home to find a crazy, serial killer in your kitchen just eating you out of house and home? Especially after knowing that the ranch she was in just burned down? What are going to say? Get out? Lol And somehow Helena make the fact that she's a trained, chaotic assassin adorable. Felix: "Helena. Did you burn the fish people's ranch?" Helena: *knowing smile* No. It was like two parents trying to get their cheeky 5 year old to confess to something that they ALL knewthe child did. You just can't prove it π. So we meet Dr. Nealon, the creep that examined "Beth" and who knows how many Leda clones in their sleep. Dude really just out here trying to take a whole ovary? Then casually talking about snatching one of Sarah's ovaries and about making her go through another pregnancy without her consent. Just eww. Shoutout to Cosima & Scott, who came through heavy this episode. And Scott is such a brave, sweatheart. He was trying to stop Martin from taking the samples to save Cosima, he helped Cosima concoct the eye gouging fire exstinguisher, tried to encourage Cosima to get out of D.Y.A.D. so she could stay safe, and even offered then put himself on the line to assist and save Sarah and Kira to protect & save Cosima, who was too weak at that point. Maybe Scott needs to be officially inducted into Clone Club. He knows the secrets and he's been putting in the work before he even knew what he was working on. And he's treated Cosima and her family with the upmost care and respect. Sarah has Felix. Alison now has Donnie. Cosima has Scott. Maybe Helena will get her own confidant/partner in crime. With the way the show likes mix & match partnerships and create new interactions, who knows. Can you imagine Helena meeting Scott? π I guess I gotta talk about Rachel Mrs. S taking the time in the midst of all of that chaos to be an upset grandmother about being the last to know about Kira's father, like she haven't had secrets falling out of her back pockets left & right all season, is jokes π. I forgot Sarsh refused to tell Siobhan who was keeping Kira while they were at Ethan's. Granted, Mrs. S did raise that baby, and Felix got to have his own moment of being upset about it earlier this season, but now wasn't the time π. Felix got his first taste of his mum the killer when he overhear that "car bomb" conversation right before (Now he knows what Sarah's been talking about all season about their mum π). Kira came through. Cal REALLY came through. It's a great thing Cal made Kira memorize his number. It was hard for him to let her go and he told her he'd be there whenever she needed them. Even better that he's got online connections and dug deep into D.Y.A.D., following the into the dark web and was able to share that information and connection through Siobhan. (Also, I love the small joke of Cal typing Siobhan's name to his contact, and Siobhan had to correct him saying, "It's spelled with a 'bh'" because most people who don't know how to spell "Siobhan", are gonna spell most likely spell it with a "v" instead of 'bh' on the first try. It's such an easy to miss joke, but I love when the show does random little, realistic moments like that π). Also, Kira totally get her calm demeanor from Cal. Even the way he casually asked Siobhan to put down the gun in such a calm voice instead of freaking out would be such a Kira move. Paul/Cal meeting. Hey, Google? Play "I Thought It Was Me" by Bel Biv Devoe π. Sarah be having these dudes out here, don't she? Siobhan's reaction was hilarious, being messy lol. So, Paul was Siobhan's secret contact regarding Project Castor. While, Marion Bowles was Cal's secret D.Y.A.D. contact. Paul & Marion met up to make a deal to get Sarah & Kira released from D.Y.A.D. The last time I think we've seen Paul was when Rachel had her initial reunion with her dad. We didn't see him again after that. Also, you were correct, sort of. Paul WAS originally planned to be the one to kill Dr. Leekie, but the creators changed it to Donnie instead. Paul and Siobhan had a conversation in the car over some tea the episode prior. There's another conversation I'd point out, but I think I might wait π€·πΎββοΈ. I guess I gotta talk about Rachel. *Sigh* All of that power flexing came back and bit her in the ass, didn't it? She'd been becoming unhinged bit by bit since and up until Ethan's demise, she thought she had all of the cards. Rachel had Ethan, Sarah, Kira, Cosima, and sent Delphine away so she couldn't do any outside interference with whatever she had planned (Sneaky Goldilocks still slipped one in at the last minute). The scene with Sarah being forced to watch Rachel & Kira. Rachel knows Sarah's watching and she just starts trying to make Kira doubt her mum by bringing up Sarah's lack of mothrring skillow Sarah always abandoned Kira. Then trying to be parental to Kira right in front of Sarah. All to keep power flexing in front of Sarah and make her further submit Rachel: "Even mothers have to do as they're told sometimes. Isn't that right?" And Rachel's staring Sarah through the mirror as she says it, basically telling her she better act right and cooperate because I have your daughter. I have the power. And there's nothing you can do about it. What she didn't account is her father not only offing himself, but doing right in front of her(well, she also didn't account for baby daddy Cal to get an "inside man" in the form of one of her superiors to get Sarah & Kira released). I love the juxtaposition between the happy family video to Ethan & Rachel now. Ethan loved his daughter, and Sarah warned him that his child is "lost". They had their bittersweet reunion. Now she had him imprisoned, had Kira, Sarah, and now holding. Refusing to allow Cosima treatment until Ethan unlocked the codes to make more Leda clones. He even offered to consider it after Cosima's treatment and Rachel was still trying to flex. Seeing his daughter become the cold, playing puppet master. Leekie may have stole (and destroyed) his daughter, but they were not going to use his work for whatever possible, secret, nefarious purpose they chose to use it for. Rachel telling Ethan just as she revealed her coldest of not even remembering the feeling of her parents love, her most vulnerable, the little girl that never got over her parents' death, showed itself. She may not remember the love of her parents, but she showed she remembered the pain of losing them. "You can't leave me again!" And now she losing her father again, only this as a result her own actions and behavior. "You don't deserve me". OOF! I don't care how cold your heart is, that's got to be probably ome of the most traumatic things a child can hear their parent say to them. Whatever happened to the old school, "I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed." π And it's her father's final words to his daughter as he dies and the happy family video of father and daughter in a much more happier time that Rachel will never get back. But does Rachel stop there? Of course not. She doesn't know when to stop. The more she hurts, the more unhinged she becomes, the harder she tried power flex. Her father, the key to the codes, was gone. Her last shot was her "sister" (I think that deleted scene is when she's told, "They're your sisters"). Did something stick or was she trying to do her version of being "nice" (It's way too late for that lol). Rachel didn't believe that Ethan only had the codes in his head, and that he left it with Sarah. Sarah honestly doesn't know what she's talking about. She didn't even think to ask Kira. This was probably Rachel's unhinged moment. It's one thing for her to breakdown inside her own mind or alone in a dark room by herself with a martini and a family video. After falling apart as she watched her father die, she's STILL trying to keep her "professional" composure. She lost too much and was too much into her feelings and ambitions that even after losing two dads, she's still pushing it. When Sarah tells her she doesn't know what Rachel is talking about regarding the secret key to Ethan's codes, Rachel snaps in a rage and smashes the damn vials. "AYE TRICK!" Exactly! Vindictive is the word. After EVERYTHING they went through, what KIRA went through to save Cosima, and Rachel just smashed the damn vials of Kira's processed bone marrow. She already sent Cosima's doctor away and replace her with the Dr. Nealon. Ethan was now dead and those vials are what's left to save Cosima and Rachel smashed it. Leekie warned that Rachel takes things personally and even told Rachel. Welp, this was the monster Leekie created. The. Pencil. To. The. Eye. Rachel had it coming. Again, shoutout to Cosima & Scott because they didn't even know what kind of operation Sarah was about to be succumbed to. All they knew was that Sarah was scheduled for an operation with Dr. Nealon at 5 pm (that Rachel was also probably going to be there since it was marked her itinerary). They didn't know they was out here about to snatch a whole ovary from her. And they came in clutch. I LOVE that Cosima had Kira help her with her plan, and disguising the science lesson as a way to help Sarah by having Kira draw the picture of the lesson for her. That little girl do love her drawings and science is fun π... So after Sarah & Kira got released, Cal took them back where the Clone Club sisters meet up. It's the first time they'll been together in one room and in person since the season 1 finale when they were discussion their contract offers. Also, Alison & Cosima commenting on Cal's hotness as he was leaving is such a sister thing to do lol. And yes, Felix's bed be on rotation don't it? Everybody just be doing the nasty all in that bed. (make sense that two of the perpetrators are the ones sharing the bed later that night π). And we get a big moment where Felix propositions Sarah to letting Helena finally meet her sisters. It such a beautiful moment to because in the beginning of the season, Helena is insistent on returning to be with her sestra and her niece. That was her only family. Now, she returns to her family, but the family she returns to has become so much more. She meeting two of her sestras for the first time. She has a "brother-sestra" (I LOVE that Felix was the one who introduced Helena to her sisters). Cosima, probably the biggest sociable person in the group, hobbled up without hesitation and gave Helena a big hug. Cosima called her "very beautiful", something Helena's probably barely heard in her entire life and she's being welcomed with open arms by her new family. Then you have Alison, who hesistant (fair, considering Helena did try to kill them last season lol), but still kind and respectful. She even sitting next to Helena before they all get up and dance (funny enough, those are the two most dangerous and most unhinged ones in the room π). Helena's connecting with her sestras and it doesn't feel out of character or out of place. And then you get the "Auntie Helena!". The way Helena lit up hear Kira call out her name. She hadn't seen Kira since the accident last season and she's been wanting to see her niece again. Kira's been asking about Helena since the accident too, and she ran straight into Helena's arms. I was wondering if you were going to catch the hand reference, Shamonda, and yes, it the same thing Helena & Kira did upon their first meeting between the glassdoor at Mrs. S' house, pressing the palms of their hands against each other's, without saying a word, showing their instant connection π₯Ή. And the way, Sarah, Alison, Cosima, & Felix watch on as they watch Helena I emphasize again that before Sarah got caught up in all of this, she didn't have all of this. She had a foster mum she beefed with, her partner-in-antics foster brother, and a daughter that she wasn't mature enough to raise. Now, she has three new sisters and her family grown both in size, but also in with love and connection, and she looking at the family that she loves and trying to protect. "Girl, if you don't roll you a joint and sit on that couch." No forreal, because Cosima be having death scares every two seconds now π. Go sit down somewhere and have some edibles or something lol. But the scene was worth it, because we got the- CLONE DANCE PARTY! π₯³π It such a good time. After all of the chaos that been going on, from the very first scene of the season, Clone Club (both the characters and the fans) need that moment (some fans were so stressed, they were scared Cosima was gonna die in the middle of the dance π). Alison had to deal with the consequences of her drinking and pill popping, rehab, her monitor husband, and burying a dead man in her garage while being watch by a rogue cop. Cosima's been fighting to not die (had to do an autopsy on a sick, dead body that looked like her potential future), a fli-flopping girlfriend, and the burden finding a cure for herself (and her sisters). Sarah's been running all over the place, dealing with a sketchy mum, saved by her "dead" twin she thought she killed, met one of her "Creators", had to leave her daughter with Cal to keep her safe, then all of the mess that happened in this episode alone. Helena dealing with those manipulative, violating Proletheans (now she's supposedly pregnant). Felix was catching hell this season too. Running aroubd trying to make aure the sisters are okay, went on the run, found her niece's daddy, got framed as a cop killer, and then got stabbed in the neck with a vile full of (non-recreational) drugs that led to his niece's kidnapping. It was a great way to have a much needed "fun" moment with all of them. They all needed to blow off stream and bond together in that moment. And I love that the "Clones Only Night" also included Felix. He may not be one of the Ledas, but he's become more than just Sarah's brother and Kira' uncle. He's become a brother to the rest of them (Alison, Cosima, & Helena), like an honorary Leda lol. He takes care of them and is kind of the glue that keeps them all from falling apart, even with all of the hell he got put through this season. Fun Fact: This was our first ever 4 clone scene. Up until now, the most we've gotten were 3 clones together in one scene, and they'd done it about 4 times in the series so far. I guess they said they wanted to push it further and get 4 of them in there. Well, they did it and it payed off. And it took them two 16-hr days to film just that one scene. Also, I've mentioned before that Tatiana used certain music for each clone, but also different styles of dancing to help embody each character. She used flamenco dancing that she trained at age 4 for Alison's tight posture and movements, and "rave dancing"/glowsticks twirling for Cosima (I think she o ly used her "Cosima dance" in the show). She said only would do her "Helena dancing" to get into character in her trailer, as it was more of a violent & sexual like an animal. It was fun to see was fun to see her coming up with dancing styles specifically for this scene and having all of the clones together, even if they weren't her specific dance methods that she used for herself. Yet, still nailed each character. The name of the song used is called "Water Prayer" by Adham Shaihk. Here's the Clone Dance Party with Tatiana & Jordan in a oneshot style edit. It still blows my mind how they did this and I' still just as impressed as I was the first time I saw this... https://youtu.be/XE2u_N8g6cs?si=GSU5xUUaoj3F0KKv Here's a behind the scenes of how the idea for the Clone Dance Party came up and how they filmed it... https://youtu.be/YGauFW4wxxc?si=6ebKpvXF3QZvoHs4 And for funsies and cutesies, here Cynthia Galant (Young Rachel/Charlotte/Mini-Clone) doing a little Clone Dance Party of her own. Not the same tech, obviously but it's cute to see her try out the other mini versions of the clones for fun π. Her dad was always engaging with us in our Clone Club fb group and posting stuff. https://youtu.be/o_bHQq13jvE?si=KzbjhhMHBfCqTKVj I love that they're all staying sleeping over Felix's loft. (I assume Alison went home eventually to be with her husband, kids and her own bed). "You're the wild type Sarah. You probrogate against all odds. You're restless. You survive." I think this quote sums up why Sarah has move up to becoming my favorite clone so far on this rewatch, which hasn't happened before. Being the wild type was probably her biggest flaw before as a person, and now it's being acknowledge as her greatest strength. Sometimes you're biggest flaws is based on how you use it. Sarah's not using that gift of survival to be a grifter. She's not even using it to benefit herself. She's fighting to survive this season for her family. ALL of her family. I've always liked Sarah as a character, despite the mess that she is, but she has never been my personal favorite. There's just something on this particular rewatch that's hitting different to me with Sarah this go around and I'm enjoying it. And the closer and deeper she with to her "family", the more vulnerable she seems to become. She shows it again here with Cosima, telling her what she told her on the phone where we see them talk about Cosima's illness, and Cosima tried to be optomistic about her chances of recovery to Sarah. Only this time it's different. Sarah: "I can't do this without Cosima." Cosima: "You'll be fine...You just have to keep moving forward." Cosima can't give Sarah the optomistic words that she'll be fine this time. They both know that with Duncan dead and the bone marrow's no longer usable, Cosima's chances of survival is looking very grim at the moment. But Cosima, even in the grim state that she's in, still tried to give Sarah encouragement and optimism. Sarah's job in all of this would get REALLY difficult without Cosima. Sarah's is the action girl, bit Cosima's the guy in the chair. And Cosima's. Like Cosima told Sarah in 1x3. "Try to keep your sense of humor. Beth couldn't." Cosima's "the scientist" and an important asset to the group, and although she tends to be very naive, she's always been the that tried to stay postitive for the group. Even this season as she's the one that's been slowly dying throughout it. Sarah's scared. The deeper the more she. And Sarah's not just losing "the-guy-in-the-chair". She's losing her sister. She just found her sisters and one of them is dying, after EVERYTHING she went through to fight and save Cosima, and as of right now, there's nothing Sarah can do to stop it. And the sister have been fighting to survive and have bonded through that fight, the sisters are still getting to know each, and we see how different they are, from their dance styles, their different interests, to the simply the ways that their minds think. This is probably my favorite Sarah/Cosima scene. The "Auntie Cosima" scene with Kira trying to wake her up had me choked up the first time I saw it. I thought they were really , especially after that lovely Clome Dance Party and that sorta "goodbye" conversation with Sarah. "Not my naive, adorkable, little science nerd! And not in front of the baby! π". Could you imagine if Kira were to find Cosima deceased? And after everything she tried to do to save her? Sarah pulls up in a limousine and walks into this mansion. All of a sudden, she starts hearing this child's giggle echoing in the hallways. And sure enough, there's a giggling little mini'clone named Charlotte playing peek-a-boo with a brace on her leg. Shamonda is exactly right about Mini-Clone. All of the Leda clone looked like her when they were 8 years old. When Sarah was looking at Rachel's family video, she was looking at her 8 year old self living a life she never lived, with a family that wasn't hers, as a completely different person. She knew that was Rachel on the video because knows that face. And now, she's looking at her 8 year old self standing right before her, starring into her eyes, and speaking to her, as a completely different person. And she knows about her already where Sarah didn't even know she existed. I can't imagine what that could do to someone's head. It'd be so jarring and gut punching because it's just another in-your-face emphasize that YOU. ARE. A. CLONE. And who knows how many of you are you are even out there. And they didn't even stop. Marion reveals that Charlotte is her daughter, and like Mrs. S, she emotion to because they. Back in that car conversation between Siobhan & Paul back in episode 2x06, Siobhan told him that. He asked her, "Who does Siobhan Sadler serve?". Her response? "I'm a mum, aren't I?". These are two women who are invested differently than most of the other parties involved because they're parent and their child is a Leda clone. Over 400 attempts and Charlotte's the only survivor, and it seems she didn't make it without having some difficulties. It was really brilliant for them to have kept repeatedly showing but doing it within the story (Rachel's story and her psyche) so it's not shoved in. We KNOW what "Young Rachel" looked like. So, when we see "Charlotte", you realize that that face is a young Leda clone. So, Marion Bowles tells Sarah that she's apart of what is called "Topside" (Rachel last episode reported to "Topside" that basically everything was being taken of when Marion went to check in on her in Leekie's old office after his "passing"). Topside steers D.Y.A.D. (Rachel's "supervisors"), while invested and steering in various dealings on an international level as a Cabal. Helena. Oh, Helena. She just keeps getting taken away from her family by outside forces left and right. And just as she's sneaking off to find her "boyfriend" Jessie, she got snatched up by the military smh. She really can't catch a break. And everyone probably just assumed Helena just disappeared again. She tends to go off and pop back up whenever. And no one in the crew knows where she is. And the only notable ones who DO seem to know are Sketchy #1 (Siobhan) & Sketchy #2 (Paul). Whose side is Mrs. S on? This question comes up a lot, doesn't it? But she doesn't look pleased with what's happening to Helena. All we know is that Paul reassured her that she "did what she had to do". And we leave off with a bomb dropped from Marion that not only did the military never shut down Project Leda, but they took half, and control what is called Project Castor. And we see "the face" of Project Castor. We'll just call them Prolethean Mark, Soldier Mark, & Scarface Mark for now lol. And the look on Sarah's face. We, the audience, have watched that face for the whole season, but for Sarah, she'd only seen him once and it was in the first scene of the season in the diner when he tried to snatch her up for the Proletheans. And here this crazy eyed man staring her, with his face pressed up against the glass, and a smile on his face. Yikes! Fun Fact: I was wondering if you were going to do a "Castor Troy" reference lol. In Face-Off, the Troy Brothers are Castor & Pollux Troy. In the Greek Mythology, Leda and the Swan, Queen Leda ends up pregnant with two sets of twins: two boys & two girls. Two of the children are Leda's husband (the king), and the other two are Zeus'. The 4 kids are (the boys) Castor & Pollux (or Polydeuces) and, Clytemnestra & Helen, as in "Helen of Troy"/"The Face That Sailed 1,000 Ships"/"The Trojan War". Which set are of twins belong to whom seem to depend on the story, outside of the fact whichever two kids are the demigods in the story are the ones that were Zeus' twins. Face-Off is such a great movie. I used to recite that one by heart. Fun Fact (Again): The creator said they always knew they were going to introduce male clones into the story. They also knew that the male clones were going to be one of the men we were already introduced to. The three initial options were Paul, Felix, & I think Vic (lol). Paul makes sense due to being both a monitor and in the military, Felix would have made sense (we don't know his backstory either other than he was another one of Mrs. S' foster kids and she took him with her and Sarah when she left London)and I do think Jordan Gavaris could provide the acting range to pull it off of he wanted to, but I think Felix would have bee the "too obvious" choice. Mark was initially meant to get killed off back in 2x06 when he & Paul met in the bar and it was meant to end with Paul offing Mark (instead we got a deal between the two and "No bloodshed?"). The creators decided to go with Ari Millen (Mark)as "Project Castor", so they changed their mind about killing him off. So, why the "Sarah's" and the "Mark's"? ("I don't care about him" π). Good question. Maybe will find out π€·πΎββοΈ... This show, in season 2 especially, feels like it's having a commentary on people, mainly men, but even some women, trying to have control over women's bodies. The Proletheans, D.Y.A.D., scientists, doctors, religious extremists, etc. The extreme invasiveness, the power and control, etc. The situation produces this enraging feeling as these people are so flippant about trying to have control over them. In the social sense, in the medical sense. Fun Fact: While season 1 episode titles were named after Charles Darwin's work, season 2 episode titles were name after Sir Francis Bacon's work. Sir Francis Bacon was the creator of the scientific method and contributing to the Scientific Revolution. He was also an orthodox Christian who was a philosopher, as well as other accomplishments. I guess I should take this time share some of the promotional stuff like some of the season 2 teasers. S Animated Teaser https://youtu.be/7ImYlRePm94?si=WYeQz3dHMXFkHx_a 4 Season 2 Trailers https://youtu.be/mfUxpTSnq4o?si=VLr598Dg5BYYi2hk https://youtu.be/IhefUEIiTF4?si=fItQaNyPX9VMy1UT https://youtu.be/aWAfc2HDmjs?si=_F6tTnISauDHwe5B https://youtu.be/GA82jLo6Nqk?si=pQcv3SgovMgcs6Fl So, in the season 2 teaser trailers they had for each clone, they had secret binary codes quickly flash at the end of each teaser. Well, the nerdy, science side of the fandom caught wind of it and deciphered each one binary code in each teaser. It was pretty clever for them to do. I believe the quotes are by the famous American poet, Walt Whitman. Sarah https://youtu.be/5HDz7BdDsFw?si=WWlr9N9WZHm0ncP8 "I am large, I contain multitudes" Cosima https://youtu.be/J2oQHIBCLDo?si=IwdzeHE6c4s_JcIp "Will you prove already too late?" Alison https://youtu.be/TO57j7UN60U?si=RtmDnVcaybFIfwsm "For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you" Rachel https://youtu.be/KpR9BMqAiaE?si=6IX0uR4NTEloYUg_ "Do you guess I have some intricate purpose?" Sarah & Cal https://youtu.be/o8BhNmXJzX4?si=OAMTpAwwk2S72Uxc "I and this mystery, here we stand" Felix & Alison https://youtu.be/Tfw3DBzw_Kg?si=rRLm1V2vL4fiYl2o "All truths wait in all things" Rachel vs Cosima https://youtu.be/2qNNLKtptjg?si=aeDIIi_F4A_I1Nym "I do no talk of the beginning or the end" Sarah (ft Cal) https://youtu.be/6m3XdYh1k2I?si=KR2he_zoxNwIDEbi "I talk wildly, I have lost my wits" So, I guess I can finish with a nice visual effect reel of the visual effects they did for season 2, including the clone multi-clone scenes... https://youtu.be/ZEnfaWYYou4?si=FQZgwv_QCSNqtWoD And here's a panel of the cast after season 2 finished airing. It's mostly just the humble cast joking around and giving Tatiana all of the praise, but it's fun to see the cast out of character and hear Jordan Gavaris'(Felix) real voice lol... https://www.youtube.com/live/z2Gvn8V5tzs?si=ANhlLzHushFKqOsU This one is a top 7 moments of season 2 panel at Comic-Con that year as well, which includes a cool story about Tatiana's mother... https://youtu.be/j4VM2Q2tI7Q?si=Usl3jXzHKB_L_de1 And just a little bonus: Here's a behind the scenes video of Kathryn Alexandre, Tatiana's acting double in the multi-clone scenes. Basically, she plays Tatiana playing whatever clone Tatiana is playing against in the scene. This video is in reference to 2x1 with Sarah vs Rachel... https://youtu.be/9fZLiRTL0-Y?si=buKDlppgDr8GNPsL Hey Ralph, since you have a list of people you hate, I think you need a list of characters you want protected at all costs, starting with Kira, Helena, & Alison π. Now we're off to season 2 and a wild trip it was. And the conspiracy is only getting deeper. And this comment is way too long lol... Coming Up: Will Kira go a whole season without being targeted? Will all of the Castor clones have that terrible combover? Will more fluids find it way onto Felix's bed? I actually haven't rewatched season 3 in a while, so this should be fun π...
