I dont think its the actor or director as much as its China... people are still getting arrested for being gay in some places in China which is why ABO and Revenge Love is actually wild. i saw in a video the same week these make out episodes got released two men got arrested for kissing in public somewhere in China. and around 30 BL writers where arrested in China in the last month or so... but i didnt look into any details though. like where or why? if anything that actor is more popular now than he was before, this series happened and he's reached a new level of fame. so it would seem as usual the government and the people are not seeing eye to eye. in his birthday live he was tearing up because he never thought acting would bring him so much support/fans... meanwhile i was like pfft 2002 is wild, imagine not being born in the late 1900s.. like you know real people... like actual adult humans πππ im kidding of course even though im late 90s, i 100% pretend that all my coworkers born in 2000s up are like a century younger than me.

Yes, same, it has enough NC scenes, I always prioritize plot over NC scenes. I always enjoy the eyes π and hugs π€, and I'm also trying to enjoy the show for what it is, without looking too much at social media until it finishes airing, because it can also change my viewing mood. I only watch what is on their channel, happy with the director, she was having her moment live with their actors π₯°

Everytime Wu Suo Wei is alone thinking to himself I just think about how funny it would be if someone walks past him and sees him flailing his arms about and yelling at nothing π

You're right, Lydia, it doesn't matter how many or which NC-scenes were cut. Compared to the original novel, almost all the sexual acts so far were omitted or only hinted at. The series adaptation has its own charm; the actors' facial expressions, the small gestures, the glances perfectly reflect their emotions and let my imagination run wild.
