My grandpa cheated on my grandma for 30 years. And my grandma knew about it! But neither of them broke it off for reasons unknown and now after my grandma passed away the “came out” as dating even though everyone knew about it I will never understand why my grandma would stay together with him especially because, when she found out my mom (who is the youngest of 4) was already 23 and out of the house when she found out so there was no worry about kids.

Not to spoil anything but there IS a reason she doesn’t want to have sex and it’s on her as well to communicate that - not just on him to communicate. They’re both not communicating. It’s not a black and white, he’s wrong and she’s right in this scenario. I wish Lydia was being a little more fair here

I don’t think you’re wrong but in Asian and especially Japanese cultures unpleasant conversations are almost always ignored - this is a societal custom to avoid unpleasantness. Add to that that the conversation is about sex, that would make it even more difficult to do. I don’t think you’re wrong because at the end of the day you have to have conversations and if you don’t it’s on you (and your partner), but I do think the conversation is far easier to have in the West than it is in japan, and that difficulty is actually part of the plot here

The girlfriend is nice, but she's not honest at all! She always puts him off 'Maybe next time'..... If she's asexual, she has to tell him. Sei's partner does not like it at all if he's talking about sex, he's leaving the room pretending he didn't hear it! As for me Sei and Kazuaki are trying to talk to their partners, but they are ignored.

2025-05-19 20:32:44 +0000 UTCHagiwara's issue is that he didn't break up first, cause they have some issues that they never faced, Also, it was kind of funny that the girlfriend saw the phone, when at the beginning of the show, he even thought that she didn't pay much attention to him. At this point I think they are together just to present a "normal" relationship to society especially in jap that seems to be more traditional, ohh and the girl talking about sexuality was dam, also just to pretend to society she looks so sad, and the saddest thing is that they give birth a child knowing their issues. Sei was kind of odd, because he is single and can do whatever he wants, and was like Do you want sex, and ok, but for me it was too serious and should give Hagiwara emotional support first. Cause he was at that moment frustrated, and in the morning was ashamed of himself Also, I think both the girlfriend and the roommate knew what was happening. Cause she went far right away, and the roommate was with that strict look on Sei, but doesn't have the right to say anything. And it was funny to see the roommate answering the phone 😂

2025-05-19 17:11:34 +0000 UTCso he knows roommate is impulsive and he wants his roommate to be impulsive with him, but i don't think jealous and angry is the way he's gonna want this to happen. and the other guy, I'm not mincing words is garbage. there is not justification for cheating if talking with your partner is that hard; simply dont be in a relationship.
