I think the issue with the mom is that she is the one who needs to get close to her son, and grandma should ask her daughter to talk to her grandson, and be on good terms. And Jay could be the support for Sant, and sad cause I don't get why she couldn't talk to her son, at first I thought she made another family or something. And poor Sant better don't ever dare to try to abandon him, cause he is traumatized, and I get why.
