JAN'24 PREVIEWS and NEWS

In 2024, I'm going to keep on focused on BL / shota, strictly sequential art. GOOD! 🫵😎

I've moved all 2023 art in the EXPIRED folder; it's now available at the top tier (it also includes all previous rewards starting 2018). Don't worry! AS USUAL I'll be sharing 2023 drawings publicly on pixiv (and baraag);

Because I couldn't complete the Jon/Dami comic it is now called "part 1" and is moved to 2023 master folder as well. Once I'll get back to completing the comic I'll put the existing pages in the "current at the time" reward folder again for the context.

WORK FLOW update: my software hasn't been working normally since October, hence the simpler flat color / messier lineart style.

I'm yet to figure out why my PS stopped working properly: it could be the newer version bugs ("sticky" pen, lagging, plugins malfunctions), Wacom drivers (the screen switches off/on on it's own), the laptop itself (CSP lagging too but the RAM was enough before the software update), or all of it combined. 🥴 There are people on forums who have same / similar problems and share some tricks to make things do but those are only temporal solutions.

I don't know if upgrading will solve everything but I'm seriously considering it. I'm going to open commissions soon with ADAPTED PRICES for the current simpler style. I guess the art raffle pieces are now my portfolio! 🫠 I don't really follow anyone so opinions are welcome, as well as the tips on commish market situation - who's charging how much now? Maybe an average check from your experience. Share in comments!

⚡️ Also, thinking of the new generation artists... this is gonna sound ugly but don't fret, s'just my ineducated opinion: some look like a lot like a more affordable versions of more known / popular artist. This is normal, we're all influenced and learn / borrow from the best. So maybe what I'm really asking is, what's the cheap version / close enough replica of 🔥garikaliev🔥? When I'm not available who's the second choice / next option? Style-wise, experience-wise, skill-wise? I know I'm gonna hate all answers but it's gonna be educational 😩
