If Lee had lived he would have eventually have been Batman

Someone already said this on the reddit thread, but Lee always reminded me of Jim Carrey in this movie and I have a suspicion that's the answer for Griffin too. It's in the teeth and the smile, and especially in the flashback moment where he puts out the kitchen fire, pauses then says "Restaurant!" and in the The Mask style moment where the cops tell him to freeze and he does a little vaudeville exit off to the side.

Related to covering horror on the show, I think covering Aster would have a fun dip into the genre with 2 films, and 2 really interesting films to discuss on their own merit. For Patreon I really think Scream would be fun since it had 2 reboots and even if they all don’t work, they’re all very watchable.

I'm glad the crew likes this one. I was a movie obsessed 13-year-old when my family moved to Wilmington so landing in a place with an actual studio where things were filmed was thrilling, and then a year later Brandon Lee died there and was one of the saddest things imaginable. I have a complicated love of this movie as a result and am probably more protective of it than I should be.
