Yes PLEASE a Flintstones movies watch. Viva Rock Vegas is a masterpiece - truly the best costuming and set design around.

Max Aguirre

An hour into the second movie until David connects the band Bright Eyes to Heston's nickname 😂

we need a commentary of the Fargo episode from The Simpsons s33, it’s genuinely the best episode they’ve had since 1998

Austin McDougle

Classical Baby was part of our bedtime routine for two whole years. My youngest just rediscovered it and has been very focused on the cow part. My son loved the French hot chocolate song. I have some thoughts on the poetry episode.

Shout out to Nang and Broti

Even back then, I’m sure there were talks of more sequels if Beneath was a success. Blowing up the planet was probably the best thing they could do to get out of the “human lands on planet” repetition. As much as I would have loved it, I don’t think they would have been brave enough to do an apes-only movie.

Tyler Lyon

I’m 52, so I actually was a Planet of the Apes superfan from ages of 3-6. The movies were repeated on TV a lot, and I loved the short-lived TV series. I even had POTA collectible cards and action figures. Then 6-year-old me saw Star Wars in 1977 and that was all she wrote.

David Bowden

Great episode, and series so far. Would suggest that John Wick has followed the Planet of the Apes series model the best.

Jonathan cronin

I liked the original ending with Taylor calling all the apes "woke Marxist"before dying.

Shane Williams

It's one of the best shows on TV!

Classical Baby IS Baby Tár

Matthew O'Reilly

"Earth died on the way back to its home planet"

Corduroy Jim

Classic baby was our only show for almost a year. My son is totally obsessed with classical baby. Especially the first music episode. The cow song is also #1 in our house. I will never recover from the dance episode where the rectangles attempt to do Jerome Robbins choreography!

Maggie Walter

been so long since the timestamp wasn't included - thank you for doing the lords work

Sean Elliott

In total agreement with Ben wondering how people have time to watch American Dad. There are literally 500, maybe 1000 things I would rather watch before getting to American Dad. That’s setting aside that there are activities I would do before getting that desperate.

James Jameson

Lmao the overkill of ‘kill my character, and also, blow up the entire planet’ is remarkable

Can you address where you've read that more sequels were in the works before Beneath was a financial success? I've long been obsessed with BENEATH and from what I've read/watched it was a cash grab gambit and only when it worked did they go back to the drawing board for more apes. Interestingly, the Saint Joseph's Cathedral set is an altered set from one of the reasons the studio was broke, HELLO,DOLLY! Heston takes credit for the idea to blow up the Earth (that, in addition to his contract negotiated death scene, were meant to stop more sequels).

Funny enough I saw Life Stinks on Comedy Central back in the day

Joel Barber

When I was a kid I had the comic for this that came with a 45 RPM record to play as you read along. It was a pretty bleak experience for a seven year old, but that didn't stop me from reading it dozens of times.

Classical Baby was my daughter's fave for a good 6 months. Then we discovered Bluey.

Kattie Lynn

My son was really into Classical Baby, and as a parent, I appreciated that the music was actual recordings, not synthesized baby Einstein crap.

MoCoSwede

If there was any doubt David spent years in London breaking out Going Underground (The Jam) would clear it up. The Setting Sons album in ‘79 was so good Going Underground wasn’t even on it, released as a B-Side in ‘80 and went to Number One. The Modfather, still making excellent music and collaborating with his daughter, Leah Weller.

Tony Jennaway

[They Did Surgery on a Grape voice] they vaporized a snorlax

Rad Rodge

"A society built on bonks"

Jacob Pickett

My wife and I revisited Men in Tights recently, and I gotta disagree with them on this one. We had to bail halfway through, the whole thing just felt sluggish and painfully unfunny.

Michael Petrocelli

I feel like they don’t remember how much of Men in Tights is directly addressing Prince of Thieves.

I love when the show talks about The Simpsons. Always with such reverence

Micah Levine

no idea what this one is about but the title makes me hope for mole people
