SPEAKING OF - today’s match pits two international action superstars against each other…
It’s Jean Claude Van Damme’s UNIVERSAL SOLDIER vs. Jackie Chan’s POLICE STORY:
With UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, we’d do 4 films:
- Universal Soldier (1992)
- Universal Soldier: The Return (1999)
- Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2010)
- Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)
We’d be skipping the 1998 TV movies, which are out of continuity with the series and don’t feature JCVD.
With POLICE STORY, we’d do 5 films:
- Police Story (1985)
- Police Story 2 (1988)
- Police Story 3: Supercop (1992)
- Crime Story (1993)
- First Strike (1996)
We will not be covering Supercop 2 (not enough Chan) nor the “reboots” New Police Story and Police Story 2013.
So, who takes this one - JCVD (and Dolph) or JC (and Yeoh)?

Michelle Yeoh early movies would be better than Jackie Chan. I don't like him because of his comments against democracy in Hong Kong.
