MARCH MADNESS 2022 - DAY 12
Added 2022-03-12 17:00:06 +0000 UTCAnother win for OJ Simpson - THE NAKED GUN moves on to the next round!
Up today - two series that we've wanted to cover for quite some time. They're landmark franchises, have been rebooted several times, and are still a part of popular culture.
It's SUPERMAN vs PLANET OF THE APES.

With Superman, we'd cover:
SUPERMAN (1978)
SUPERMAN II (1980)
SUPERMAN III (1983)
SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE (1987)
Here's the thing - we'd also want to cover one of the modern Supermans - either SUPERMAN RETURNS (a movie G+D really want to talk about but we'd never cover Bryan Singer on the main feed) or MAN OF STEEL (a movie we never covered when we were doing our DCEU series). As of now, we're thinking we'd put it up for a vote to see which one you'd want...if Superman wins, of course.
With Planet of the Apes, we'd cover:
PLANET OF THE APES (1968)
BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES (1970)
ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES (1971)
CONQUEST OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (1972)
BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (1973)
The Apes franchise is *insane* - just when the writers back themselves into a corner, they come up with the most inventive solutions to keep the story going from film to film. The chronology is wild, yet the quality is fairly consistent throughout.
So, who gets your vote?
