MARCH MADNESS 2022 - DAY 10
Added 2022-03-10 17:00:08 +0000 UTCEnnio Morricone's "The Ecstasy of Gold" plays in the background as THE DOLLARS TRILOGY moves on to the next round!
Up today - two *massively* important and influential slasher films and their resulting franchises...
A killer who dresses up as William Shatner vs a killer who dresses up as his own mother...
It's HALLOWEEN vs PSYCHO:

We've already covered John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN on the main feed, but a Halloween series would allow us to delve deeper into the lore of Michael Myers.
A HALLOWEEN series would include:
HALLOWEEN (1978)
HALLOWEEN II (1981)
HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982)
HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS (1988)
HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS (1989)
HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS (1995)
HALLOWEEN H20 (1998)
HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION (2002)
The Psycho Franchise is a franchise that shouldn't exist...but we're glad it does because these movies are WEIRD. PSYCHO II comes out twenty-two years (!!) after the Hitchcock original with Anthony Perkins returning! Later, Gus Van Sant cashed his post-GOOD WILL HUNTING Blank Check to make a shot-for-shot remake of the original, one of the true oddities of recent movie history.
A PSYCHO series would include:
PSYCHO (1960)
PSYCHO II (1983)
PSYCHO III (1986)
PSYCHO (1998)
So, which psychopath would you rather hear us cover - Michael Myers or Norman Bates?
Comments
Halloween losing due to Carpenter overload? Shame, since it’s a more interesting series.
