May I share my Ackroyd adjacent story? Thanks to Twitter I have a decent online rapport with one of my fave singer songwriters Elvis Perkins (yes, son of Anthony Perkins, so much film adjacent shut in my life lol), and I went to two West Coast shows on his US tour maybe five years ago. At the Portland show, the crowd was maaaybe 30 people, and standing by himself throughout the whole thing was Dan Ackroyd in a fedora 😂 I was like what’s the connection here??? Turns out his daughter was dating Elvis and played bass in his band. I met everyone after, including Dan, and me & Danielle (his daughter) are still Twitter friends to this day! Long story short, Dan Ackroyd and his fam are a delight
