Since we're sharing screens already and got it all on zoom record, we thought we'd share this footage with you, our Checkmates. We felt it was important to give our patrons options for how they'd like to experience this seminal fanfare extravaganza. Please please please release the zoom videos in the future at the same time as the podcast drops! 2020-10-12 12:40:17 +0000 UTCmy favorite variant might actually be the one david mentioned, where the columbia logo is photoshopped to look like annette bening at the start of "what planet are you from?" the photoshop itself is a dumb, pointless joke, but what i find fascinating is the alternative fanfare used in this opening. it's even more brooding and unnerving than the "alien3" fox fanfare and doesn't fit at all with the visual gag. but that's exactly why i keep returning to it. it's just uniquely bizarre.

A treasure trove of reference footage. I 100% understand why you can't post these all the time but thank you so much for this
