Ohh right yeah. And true reincarnation will never be the exact same. Maybe since in UWMA they both remember their past lives it felt different to me compared to this where for now I’m not able to see similarities and stuff that it just doesn’t completely makes sense to me idk haha. But what you’re saying is right.

It also must be crazy to grow up with a 20-something year old acting like an old man near you your whole life?? Lmao. And I dunno, I like reincarnation stories when it’s executed right because it can be super interesting as u and someone else questioned, like if someone reincarnates they’re prob not gonna be the same person right?? and loving a “soul” is such an odd concept because it’s not a tangible thing + if they aren’t the same person then what exactly are u loving? 🤔 I think it’s interesting when stories actually try to answer this, whether it be because they carry similar traits or the person falls in love w the new reincarnation anyway in a different way. Also the beginning felt soooo soap opera-y, i had fun, I’m having fun!

2024-07-11 23:58:26 +0000 UTCThat’s because reincarnation as a concept (as I’ve always understood it) isn’t about being reborn in another life as the exact same person or in the same body? It’s just about your soul being reborn. That’s why Dean and Pharm(until we meet again) are reincarnations of Intouch and Korn even though they don’t look the same and aren’t the same person, it’s just their souls even though they also clearly retain some memories/trauma from the last life too. Some ppl also believe that the new form you’re born into in your new life is influenced by your karma from your previous life, so I’ve seen plots where a villain is reborn/reincarnated not as another human child, but like as an animal? As like “punishment” or “karma” for what they might’ve done. Some reincarnation love stories involve questioning why ppl fall in love w each other (like Lydia rightfully questioning that they might be different ppl? so that’s not the person u fell in love w anyway), and how much this reincarnation is similar to the previous one and so on too, idk how they’ll handle that here!
