let me tell you from third world countries family perspective, yeah parents love sending their kids to study abroad because they thought every university outside is better than home university. They just want their kids to get better education, its common especially in Asia countries.

Go back and watch the end of the first episode, you would better understand the story of the start-up. I had no problem understanding because i binge watching it, So I would advise you to watch the old episodes before starting a new one.

Idk how old they were to begin with so I have no clue how old they are here 😅 The filter/colouring also confuses me since it makes it look like they're in the 90's era-begin 2000s? But wasn't his graduation in 2013? I'm scared about his sister and the gang idk. Seeing the short flahbacks it seems his mom was both abusive and SA'ed him? Just my guess so far.
