This page introduces five characters in one go. Obviously there's Typhan-Knee, Peonie, and Faden. But the Unicorn and The Book would go on to be characters in their own right. Obviously I could learn something about "moving things along" from this page.
Drowemos has dyslexia, which impacted some of Exiern's dialogue. He wrote a post about it.
This may be the only page where the Unicorn purrs.
This is the first of only three characters who have a colored word bubble. The next would be the Greyfang Guard (yellow), then Narrator Ctyx (blue), and later on the wood golem Carbon (green). Could there be a grander reason for such characters to have such distinction?
It is never explained how Typhan-Knee got into the "impenetrable" Asylum. Broadsword will explore this (spoiler: Faden had balconies installed).
It is not known for certain if Peonie was dressed in the red outfit when she was captured, or if Faden dressed her in it. However, it is something Peonie could have chosen to wear at the castle under certain circumstances (such as planning to meet Phi). Given her revulsion for Faden, and the fact that Peonie doesn't attempt to change outfits until 28 pages later when the heroes reach Redbird despite implied adventures in subsequent towns, it is likely her own clothing.
