I want to clarify some things for you considering you seemed a bit confused at the characters behavior, like Kiyoi confused as to why Hira hasn’t realized he likes him. The director and scriptwriter do not go into detail for this considering it is connected to a scene that was supposed to happen in episode 5 but it did not happen because for some reason the director thought it was a better idea to make the Koyama confession longer than it should have been. If not, like I mentioned in the previous reaction, Kiyoi would have slowly started living with Hira. During the time that they live together, Kiyoi wants Hira to be his boyfriend and does anything he can to make that happen. Such as resting his head on his shoulders, touching him whenever he had the chance, giving him all types of hints but Hira never caught ANY of those hints. This frustrated Kiyoi, however, the breaking point started for Kiyoi when Hira was cutting Kiyoi’s toe nails and accidentally cut him which lead him to lick Kiyoi’s toe (YUP, in the novel/CD Drama. It is the TOE, not the fingers XD), anyway, Hira’s toe slurping gave Kiyoi a hard on, so when Hira noticed he offered him a blowjob. Which he did, but when Kiyoi offered to return the favor, Hira refused because he couldn’t bear to “disrespect” his king, and ranting about how it wasn’t appropriate. Hira, then went inside the bathroom to release himself (bc he also got hard from that toe licking lmao) and when he came out he told Kiyoi to not worry that he didn’t think of him (bc ofc he just cannot disrespect his king). This made Kiyoi so angry that he started to question himself, and he thought that maybe the reason why Hira was being this way is because of the way he treated him when they were in High School, so he tries to make it up to him by treating him nicely and smiling more often around him, he even goes as far as holding his hands in front of Koyama and others, when Hira denies that they have some sort of relationship Kiyoi kisses him but Hira never caught on to his intentions. This was the breaking point that lead to that scene you saw on the show , in which Kiyoi says to him “Have you ever thought that I am in love with you?” This is why you were confused and said Kiyoi never made it clear, well, he did. It just happened that the show couldn’t manage to include everything hat occurred in the novel in a 24 minute episode. Before Kiyoi leaves Hira’s home, he tells him to never talk to him again and says to Hira, “I know I’m self-centered, but you’re much worse than me.” and part of Kiyoi’s point of view was also during this part, “I thought I was special to Hira, and I’m not wrong, but I finally understood, that the one who Hira treasures is the ideal version of me that he created in his mind. Not the real me.” After this Kiyoi leaves crying and feeling embarrassed that he put so much effort in trying to make Hira realize how much he liked him, they kissed, they held hands, Kiyoi even watched his words to not hurt his feelings but none of it was enough to make Hira open his eyes. Later, Hira continues to email and do anything to apologize to Kiyoi, and we all know how it ended. Kiyoi ended up confessing all of his feelings, and that’s when Hira finally realized and asked Kiyoi if he could kiss him as a lover. Then they got together and had sex in the end as you can see lmao. Next point I wanna make, the reason why Hira said Kiyoi is his savior, it is not just because he interrupted the class that day during the introduction. It was because Hira was suicidal, he was at a breaking point of ending his life but Kiyoi’s interruption as well as his effort to include Hira in the group saved Hira’s life and made him feel less lonely. I think that was all? Oh, there’s a second novel that follows their relationship after they get together called Nikurashii Kare. [SPOILER ALERT for novel 2] In this novel, Hira continues to have issues with low self-esteem, however, Kiyoi tries his best to encourage him to look for. a job that he would like in photography. Kiyoi kinda becomes like his sugar daddy (he becomes a very successful idol), even gives Hira a makeover but because girls and boys started hitting on Hira, Kiyoi got jealous all the time making Hira go back to the way he used to dress. However, because of Hira’s insecurity that causes some problems in the relationship and his fear that Kiyoi will leave him because he feels unworthy. This, obviously pisses Kiyoi off, because it gets to a point Hira stops going home causing them to barely spend time together. And at the heat of the moment, he tells Hira that he wants to break up, Hira dense as always thinks Kiyoi is being literal and leaves, but something happens to Kiyoi where Hira risks his life to save him, causing Kiyoi to lose his mind thinking Hira was gonna die. He was legit crying and screaming, and when Hira got better, he told Hira that no matter what he says, even if he says “let’s break up” to ignore him and that he wanted to be with him forever. This obviously made Hira so happy and they got back together. I summarized all of this the best I could, and let me tell you that they are perfect for each other. I love them so much, a couple that started rocky and slowly grew stronger! I enjoyed watching your journey with this drama :)

2021-12-24 05:32:24 +0000 UTCI watch the serie with you in one shot. The idea is very good but the 6 episodes do not gives credits to the idea, it needed like 12 episodes at least. Overall I wasn't thrilled by the serie mostly because of that, its format. Too bad. Still I understand their point of view. Hira was only seeing the world through the camera, an impersonnal point of view, no feeling, so when feeling appeared for the first time, it became distorted by the camera and Hira saw his God. Kiyoi lives in a superficial world with superficial friends, all like puppets and treated Hira just like another puppet but realize that the gaze of Hira stared at him more deeply than the other. Instead of being seen superficially he could be seen for what he was by Hira but instead was worshipped. Kind of messy but the use of point of view is nicely done. By the way, a sensual scene in a Japan BL ? What ? Sorry ? With a kiss that seems more than a peck ? Ground breaking...
