To clarify a bit : the reason archer wasn't summoned in the circle was because rin screwed up and was inside the circle while she was summoning. Normally the master is supposed to be outside the circle and summon the servant in the circle. This is probably because Kirei trolled rin by telling to be in the circle :), so archer is a real servant.

2019-03-03 10:50:07 +0000 UTCGilgamesh isn't a human. When the Grail gave him incarnation at the end of F/Z, all it did was give him a flesh and blood body. He's still technically a Servant, he just has a physical body now.

2019-03-02 23:02:23 +0000 UTCTokiomi's backup plan for Rin was the broken catalyst (the skin of the first snake) that was used to summon Gilgamesh. He likely wanted her to summon him again. Archer was summoned upstairs because Rin was standing inside the circle. She didn't know she wasn't supposed to do that.

2019-03-02 22:11:23 +0000 UTCCaster was using magic to strengthen Kuzuki's body. That, combined with him presumably being trained as some kind of assassin, as well as Saber underestimating him, made it easy for him to catch her off guard and then press the advantage from there.
