Pain and more pain :( This anime is playing with my emotions :'( Cruel world... Stop showing Levi squad families it's killing me! And Eren feel responsible for most of it ughh

2018-05-11 17:47:58 +0000 UTCI love that you noticed that this episode is so heavily trying to show how hard it is on leaders to act the way they do. They bare the weight of their men, but can't show emotion or weakness. A number of people make bad decisions because they are acting on emotion. Levi and Erwin both know that emotion just gets a lot of people killed. Still I really love that they show how hard everything is on them. Levi certainly went through crazy hardship but has to act strong in front of his people. What is more, Erwin and especially Levi come off pretty emotionless, here we get to see that it is nothing more than a mask they wear.

I think this episode showcases how letting your emotions rule in these situations can cost lives. From Mikasa almost getting killed by the Female titan to the actions of Dieter costing him the life of his other friend.
