Wow, incredible, I am actually posting something regarding content!

So, what is ACTUALLY going on my side, now that the worst is over?

Well, for one, I mentioned earlier this year that I had started a new job. I was "fortunate" enough to not be assigned anything for an entire month, but this month  (May) the chickens came home to roost and I was on something for two weeks straight and didn't even boot up my personal comp more than a few times. No games, no tv, no flex videos. I'm ready for a break.

What about the other tough situation? Well I lived at my previous place for a little over ten years. It was fine. Renting from a mom/pop situation is great until it gets messy, and it got MESSY. The landlord's dad came back and is suing for ownership of the place, and had been squatting on the property (outside) for MONTHS before he influenced our neighbor to leave, and then he moved right into her spot. At which point he became real nasty toward us and made demands of "pay me or else", basically. And if we brought up using any of the cities legal options to protect ourselves as tenants he basically said "call the cops i don't care. i'm old and have nothing to lose. i'll get out and we'll settle this face to face"

So I don't care to be threatened, least of all by a semi-unhinged man from Central America who leaves machetes all over the place. So we decided to leave, and now we're in a new apartment. It' s just been a really stressful time but I'm now out of the worst of it.

I have some time off coming where I can write extra, and I'm expecting (hoping, really) I won't be assigned to anything for a couple of weeks so I can take a break after this project so i can catch up on what I owe, which is a lot. But wanted to give you all a better explanation of my absence, those that stuck around during my silence. And for returning people, at least this post can be an info dump while you were gone!
